you might have a snake in your hopper, i bet you didn't think to check..;)
Well, the noise was happening with the hopper off.... So I checked to bolt for something small like a grass snake, but I couldn't find one.

I also checked it outside, and it's not the wife hissing about the cost either - it's definitely coming from in the gun ;)

Front (from first post). Try replacing/relubing the top hat oring - Check your booklet on which one this is.

I'll try re-lubing that now thanks. That is sadly the only o-ring I've found so far that I don't have a replacement for. I guess I need to buy a second spares kit :D

Change the #13 tophat o-ring and the #17 in front can, if it was the #15 sail the hiss would be coming from in between the body and the grip frame not down the bolt;)

It's the #17 front can that I'm missing in the spares kit I think :) I'll see if anyone at Mayhem can fix the hiss for me tomorrow.

But on a related note - I need to speak to you about a full spares kit for this beast anyway - you came recommended as support for the marker :D

Top hat seal sounds like the suspect, also check for damage on the bolt for scratches through the anodising due to bolt to top-hat abrasion. The bolt should sit only on the set of seals and central with as good as no waddle, but a smooth forward and backward movment. If the bolt is tight, take it appart and look very carfully for damage inside and outside of the seals the replace as nessesary and lube them back up checking movement again.

Heres a site for seals from the US that only takes a few days and are realy cheap...http://www.paintballorings.com/paintball orings_004.htm

I had two packs with 5 rebuids in each (10 sets) and came to £8 with delivery, to rebuild my Trix recently...

All the best ...Nobby
