Hissing sound ?

Hi all,

I've bought a second hand marker, but the guy I bought from is away this weekend so I can't bug him for advice. I hereby throw myself on your tender mercies and beg of your vast experience.

I've got a PM5 with an Ultralight frame. It's making a hissing sound when I turn the air on. I'm guessing this is not normal ?

Any idea where I should look to stop this ? It seems to be coming out of the top part where you normally install the hopper.

After removing and reseating the bolt, it seemed better, but then the next time I turned it on, it seemed just as loud again.

Would there be anyone at Mayhem walk-on tomorrow who could maybe help me with this ?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Sounds like an oring needs replacing. You say the leak is coming from the feedneck - If you put your finger down into the breach with the air on, can you tell if the leak is coming from within the middle of the bolt or around the edges?

If it's from within the centre of the bolt, it sounds like the tophat oring needs replacing. If it's from around the edge, possibly the bolt sail orings need replacing (or simply lubing up a bit better).

Still hissing like crazy...

Ok, so I replaced the sail o-rings and a couple of others. The hissing sounds / feels like it's coming from the centre of the bolt, not the outside. I'm running out of o-rings to replace.
