Good call! People always bitch and moan without making the effort to come up with something better.

Mods - can you leave this open and have people come up with designs? Then have a vote on it? I'll sort the winner out with a Great Britain Rowing Team polo shirt or something as a prize! ;)

they are nice, but you didn't DESIGN those any further than putting some fancy texure and gradient manipulation with some googled images thrown in and a piece of text.

It's a lot more difficult when you start with a blank page, but i would expect £400,000 or whatever to be paid to someone who could it well :rolleyes:

Yeah i know, but thats what a lot of signatures are in photoshop;D Yeah thats really really true, £400,000 it should of been spetacular/great, its like they guy they paid just left it to the last minute, gave his sone some crayons and a bit of paper and wolla!

I can see what people are all bothered about cause it's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on it. I was watching the news (I am so sad) and a load of people sent in their versions, there were a few good ones but the fact is no matter how much it cost some people do like it, the only reason people don't like it is cause its really different, look at the previous ones, they're all the same. It's nice to see something new, plus, I'm just glad the olympics is coming to England **** what the logo looks like! :D

A logo isn't a signature though, now is it. Most logos are created through much more complex vector imagery to allow them to be rescaled without quality loss.

As Cusack says, all you have done in your "artwork" is to paste in a picture from Google Images, apply some (downloaded) brushes and label it as your own...Hardly a spectacle.

Sure £400,000 is a lot more than the logo is worth, but don't claim that you could make something better, when in reality you really really couldn't.
