Hi just a question for those ballers in the Armed forces. I'm considering joining up. It may sound trivial but what constraints has this had on your balling. I know there are a few of you who go on tours of service but also play regularly

:)

hi mate,
Well obviously joining up effects you're ability to play regularly,
cause if you are sent to some where hot and sh*tty then it ain't going to happen.
Also I haven't been able to join a team because I can't commit to playing a full season because I don't know if I will be around to compete in the tourneys therefore I felt that it was unfair to the team involved. This could be for several reasons the first obviously is being deployed on operations, next is going on training exercises and then you have your normal guard duties/working weekends that appear without much warning.
While it is still possible to play paintball when you are in the forces, it does limit what role you can play in paintball.

Cheers mate
Hope this helps
(PS I've been in the Army for 10 years, so do know what I'm talking about!)

It will come down to which branch and job you intend on doing in the armed forces. Some jobs/careers over others get to travel more and some are like a 9-5 with weekends off (RAF).

Looking for a team.
being in the forces will have 2 big effects...

1) your time will be severly limtied and with more and more area of operations appearing, it will become even more so....

the second....you will never...ever...want to play woodsball again after spending all that training time stuck out i the middle of woods..in the middle of nowhere...in the middle of the night...in the middle of winter.....

i know when i finished i burned anything even remotely camo and went out and got the brightest balling stuff i could find lol.

For the love of god get even the smallest amount of thoguht outta your head about joining up.

4.5 years and managed to stick it (RAF) and i can truly say it was the biggest waste of my life yet.

No dude, just no!
