Hi all,

Just got a firebolt and 360 QEV thru the post today, fit it and changed my dwell down to roughly 15 (9 clicks from bottom), went out in my garden and it shoots but is a tiny bit inconsistant.

I've been looking for dwell settings and can only find people with QEVs and firebolts and stock boards, can someone please tell me good settings to use? (in clicks or ms)

Thanks

Josh

15 clicks sounds very low, go through the std procedure for setting the dwell on a stock board, up the dwell till the marker fires, chrony, then take it up a click or two at a time until it's consistent, then fine tune the fps

cheers guys, currently im set to roughly 22ms.. but to me that seems a little high as without QEV or firebolt it is 35ms.. so only 13ms difference... will take a look at the linky you supplied me with anyway!

Cheers again

you need to calm down about dwell, at the end of the day it's just a number, if it fires and is consistent at 22ms then leave it.

Run an ion on the lowest dwell setting will not win a tournament or get you extra points :)

You stock dwell setting is extremely low considering out of the box they are set to 52.

hi,

i played a match today and found that my gun was not behaving itself at all. I found that at one point it wouldn't shoot and the whole thing locked up, wouldnt let me turn it off nor would it fire... I then took it apart after leaving the field, turned it off then back on (took out the battery)... then after that I found that the bolt was moving very very slowly forward without much force on occasions and jammed up my barrrel with paintballs.. I then put it back to stock default settings (dwell 34ms) and it fired okay but I found it was dropping a little....

I have yet to chrono my gun so I think i will go buy a hand held chrono (if they are any good) and see if that is the problem..
