id just like to ask something that became vital in our team getting screwed over in a game.

situation: other team was shot in feedneck, he PLAYED ON, marshall didnt pull him eventually our last player was shot out and went to the deadbox

the player who had played on hung the flag when my team mate saw the shot on his feedneck, he pointed it out to the ultimate who then said your out, put the flag bk at the 50 and their only other guy hung the flag

wendy even said it should have been a 1 for 1 but when the field ultimate talked to wendy he said that my teamate had spoke from the deadbox which was also a 1 for 1 offense. If hed left it till after the game the ultimate would surely have said it was invalid and he should have raised the issue earlier

WHAT DO YOU DO TO STAY BY THE LAW:confused:

WHAT DO YOU DO TO STAY BY THE LAW:confused:
To stay strictly within the rules your captain should have approached the Field Ultimate after the game was over and challenged the decision then.

You are quite right, that should have been a 1-4-1 but the ref is also right in saying that shouting from the deadbox is also a 1-4-1.

Problems such as this should be raised once they've called game over and call the captains over to ask if there were any problems and to sign the score sheet.

The player who has played on would surely be checked at the time he hangs the flag- the marshall would eliminate the player and (assuming millenium or similar rules are used ) apply a 1-4-1 penalty- meaning the game would result in a draw as there were no more live players left.

Unless it was obvious to the marshalls that the player must have received the hit and whilst continuing to play had a great influence on the game (very unlikely that the marshalls would know this)- i think the most you could of hoped for would be the 1-4-1 and therefore a draw.

But

By talking from the deadbox - you kinda waive that right as you have also broken the rules.

That would be an outsiders possible explanation, sucks i know.

Wendy said at the start of the day that if the last member of a team hung the flag and had a hit on the player, that player would be 1-4-1'd and a member of the opposing team would be placed back in play. Allowing the opposing team to hang the flag.

i think it was field 3 ( the copy cat field of field 1 at the top) anyway that cost us 3rd aswel  and if wendy said that at the start of the day then surely the ultimate should have performed it then.

it was a shambles the ultimate's answer to our captain requesting it being a 1 for 1 was NO and he walked off
