THE EPICENTRE
.........

Surely sooner or later the masters will have to consider X-ball in some format.

Maybe an X-ball mini tournament could be put together later in the year?!?!

Me and my boys on Volatile have already started our X-ball drills in training (courtesy of drills passed on from JB of New York NRG)

We decided that sooner rather than later X-ball will be common place so we decided to get the jump on other teams

Do you not think these two problems solve each other?
Consolodation of alot of teams might not be a bad thing.
Smaller teams can sometimes be held back by inexperienced management and some players that are just dragged along who also hold the passionate players back. Suppose it depends on the personal aspirations of the players; whether you want to play high level or whether you just want to have a laugh with your mates?
I'd love to see the masters as a mini-millennium format

Here we go again:rolleyes:
Why is it that all these people playing the Masters want them to change into a different event, examples of which already exist? Is there no room in this country for a fun event that can offer some good competition and still allow teams to enjoy themselves? Why not play in the XBall events that are already running instead of calling for teams to lose members, amalgamate with others and spend more?

'Surely sooner or later the masters will have to consider X-ball in some format.'

Why? There are already XBall events running, if you want XBall why not play them?

Yet again UK ballers are calling for changes to made by to the leagues that consistently attract new teams and players, that will make them less attractive to those same people. Sure, UK ball needs to develop but we also need a constant influx of new blood, and making events more expensive and more intimidating both in rules and number of players required won't help:(

I know this thread has gone a little off topic , i think its about time that we the "UK" got ramping in our local leagues , all we have been doing is stifling the younger players as when they go to the MS they are at an immediate disadvantage .At last

On the other note re 5 man CPL/SPL format :After Toulouse they have made there first steps to the same field design .expect to be playing a watered down version of CPL/SPL format next yr ,expect it to be just like the psp , you will have 6 fields exactly the same .so there is not an 10 hour vigil to walk the fields .

Which ever league steps up to the plate to put the CPL/SPL format on , will be on a winner , NOT X ball ,7man or 5 man , the format that the people will be playing Next yr in the MS ,lets be honest putting events on is not a charity ,but players and teams need to practice the same type of events that they will be playing in a major event ,i know i might be speaking **** ,however if you look at the Nordic series ,it can work ,they have good teams in and the smaller teams all playing at different levels but all playing the same format. which i think is the key , untill you have played it , Dont be throwing the x ball format up as there is normaly 10 players which is 2 squads of 5 and means you get a much bigger break between points .

ollie merely a discussion :) ,i do agree masters is a great breeding ground for new players , however its now finding it self as the largest league in the country ,As some one pointed out early nothing stops it just being the Div 1 , hey anything that get people talking about formats is a good thing.

But even if it was just Div 1 wouldnt there be knock on effects?

By that I mean the Div 1 games would take longer and therefore the whole schedule and number of teams would have to be looked at and some teams may have to be dropped.

Unless Div 1 teams pay more, to fund additional fields/staff so that their games could be run on separate fields to div 2 through koth?

my fault, should i start a new thread?

the thing is you would not play every1 in your div every month perhaps 3 matches per tourney with points adding up to a total at the season end so each team plays each other 2 times in a season or what ever? with teams being promoted/relegated at the season end?

just a thought
