UKM 7 Man - Ramping

Just to advise everyone that due to popular demand the UKM 7 man will be a ramping tournament.

Millennium ramping (capped at 15bps) we have the equipment to police this as well.

Also after round two which is on the 29th April at Uttoxeter all other rounds will be held at Combat Zone, Lincoln again due to popular demand.

We guarantee two full sized Millennium fields at each round.

lets not start a slagging match this is a logical step for a tournament using millenium rules now teams can play the format they will be playing in the lower divs of the millenium.

a topic that might be worth talking about is if the millenium becomes totally CPL/SPL rules ie- 20 min xball matches 8 man squad first to x amount of games in all divs, will the uk masters be following suit? would teams welcome that as a change or would they want to stick with the same 5 man 7 man formats we have at the moment?

Love to see the X-ball format used as the mainstay (ie no more masters 5man) but also keeping the 7 man series tournament for those that are old and enjoy such things .

I would rather masters stays as it is at the min, wendy and the angels do a great job, always have a good day. If masters is changed it wont be the masters we all know and love!!!

im not saying it should change next week im saying if the millenium changes to being all xball (cpl spl whatever name its going under) then will the masters stay the same or will they run one tourney the same and one using the xball rules.

Anybody who has played X-ball knows that when it comes to games etc it doesnt get any better, fast paced, aggressive, quick turnarounds, if you lose a point u can do something about it and still win the match.

i love playing 5 man and 7 man but it would be awesome if when the time comes that X-ball is the mainstay format in the top european tournaments that one of the 2 masters series runs the same format.

I love the idea of a cpl / spl league running as one of the main Uk’s main tournaments however a major problem I see is the sheer number of teams the enter the masters 5 man, this month there are nearly 50 teams entered, not including the koth teams. With a tournament like suggested it means longer matches which places more restraints on the amount of time available for games during the day, limiting the amount of teams which would be able to enter. Along with the PA limiting the number of teams allowed to play in its league this could lead to a number of disappointed teams that would not be able to play month in, month out. Not to mention the extra players needed which some teams will undoubtedly be unable to find and the idea all but killing the koth league which runs along side the 5 man.

Great idea, hard to implement.
