First of all - this issue didn't effect our result in the least, which is why I feel free to speak my mind without people having suspicions.

It SUCKS

After having thought over the issue during Toulouse, I have no problem with US pros playing full seasons for a European Pro team, or vice versa.... There are so few major events in the calender, to occupy the players fortunate enough to play full time, that it is ok to belong to different teams in different leagues, as long as a player plays his "level" in every league.

But for Pro team players (US or European) to drop down a division and play in the SPL, is just downright wrong, and I fail to understand why the MS allows it.

There are many European teams out there that train hard to become better, and to gradually rise through the ranks.... and for them to see their chances spoiled by hired guns from higher divisions, is simply unfair.

The current transfer rules are in place, to stop teams from "saving themselves" by bringing in top players in the latter part of the season... so why on earth do we allow them to roster players that do not naturally belong to the team and usually plays at a much higher level?

I know some people will come on here and go "they teach us a lot" - or similar stuff - and to me, that is just BS, and a cheap escape for not wanting to admit you are buying results you could not obtain on your own.

What on earth do you learn from getting shot out within 30 seconds in every game, and then see a couple of world class Pros mop up the field for you - in a division far below their usual level?

If you wanna learn, book them to train you - not to play for you.

Others will say "you can buy talent in other sports too" - and yes - sure you can... but then they play JUST for your team, and do not play for their own top team at the same time... they are forced to choose between staying a top level, or play at lower level permanently!... Imagine Ronaldo being on hire for a Division 3 team while also playing for Barcelona... it just wouldn't happen, for obvious reasons.

I also fail to understand that the hired guns do it - it is kinda cheesy to go play a lower division for money - and honestly, I believe those players should be a laughing stock in the paintball community for their lack of selfrespect.... and be on the receiving end of cat calls, every time they step onto a field with their adopted amateur team.

The only thing I think should be allowed, was for team organisations to move players up and down between their teams (within reason), so that an organisation like Joy Division is free to relegate players that don't perform to their second team, and vice versa. - That is absolutely acceptable in any other sport, and should be in painball too.

But the hired guns have got to GO from divisions below their natural level.

I know I will offend some prominent people with this, and to be honest, I don't give a rats ass. - I believe it is time the MS grows a pair, and deals with the problem.

As I wasn't there, who was playing with who?

On the One4One vid i saw Ore and Garcia of Rage but couldn't tell who they were with. Bullets to me is a long term exception, although I see your point.

Who else was there?

I agree, I agree, I agree, I agree !

What I know of/saw was:

- 2 Rage players with Hellwood as mentioned already....
- Davey Williamson with Instinct
- Thomas Taylor with Reckless
- Lang & U with Bullets

But yeah.... there´s probably more?
