This seemed the most appropriate section...

Are masks required to have chin straps to play in tourneys now? Just wondering as most JT proflex's for sale on classifieds state that the strap is intact.

Have I f*cked my lovely baby blue bottoms by chopping the strap off?

ur gonna have to draw diagrams n watnot cause i still aint following... baby blue bottoms - flexy bit? so he means his chin strap

the answer therefor is NO ur perfectly ok with no chinstrap. personal preference.

Most tourneys have rules about tampering with goggles. So if your goggles come with straps you're meant to leave them on. If it wasnt made with straps you don't need them. It's an insurance thing i believe.

That said there aren't exactly stringent checks for adjusted goggles and i've never seen anyone pulled for cutting them off.

It's also not mandatory to wear the just because they're there (...yet)

With JTs you can entirely remove the chinstrap and any evidence it was there. Some models don't come with chin straps other do but i doubt it would be checked.
