Shame, as personally I haven't seen any of these images. If you could perhaps point me in the right direction?

No, but if wearing a Pro top makes you want to play like your favourite Pro player, and you start to train harder because of that then isn't that a good thing? Little steps can cover big distances, it just takes longer.

Dude wearing a top that says i want to f*ck your dog might make me wont to play like my "favourite pro player"

What you wear doesnt mean sh!t

Says the man who prides himself on getting the latest gear and showing it off to the world?

You're very paradoxical, but I shall gracefully bow out now as all you seem to want ;) to do is argue.

Good night :)

Well i like new kit and especially hard to get hold of kit

but your missing the point

What im saying is, it doesnt matter what you wear your intentions can be just as good towards the sport if your top says i love paintball or i love hairy nipps

Get it?

Yeah I get it, but meh. Rules are there for a reason, there's nothing wrong with it, in the end it's the decision of the refs. If the ref thinks its offensive then it goes. I doubt they will come down like a tonne of bricks on every last little thing though.

Mikey, at the risk of getting into another pointless on-line argument with you, it is you who is missing the point.

Syd, like many others, is doing his best to get the NSPL and Paintball in general more accepted/recognised by the mainstream. It maybe that other sports and pasttimes have players running around with "spread-eagle" images of Porn stars etc, but they don't have the already negative association of using guns to shoot other people.

I'm not going to bother replying again on this thread, but I would be appreciative if you could put aside your "rebellious" fashion sense for just a sec and think about the long-term gains to be possibly made from removing such material from the sport.

Have fun :)

It wont make any difference and if you think by removing swear words and such is going to then your going to be dissappointed

Have either of you two stopped and thought about the bigger picture? Syd had secured outside sponsorship for the NSPL, do you really think any self-respecting company is going to want to be associated with a bunch of guys with f*ck and Hate and the like written all over their gear?

How many other sports have such a (frankly quite childish) attitude towards swearing and displaying "attitude"? You don't see Steve Redgrave getting "I'm No.1 Bitches!" Laser-engraved on his oars do you? No - Cos he is a Professional Athlete, something I thought you two aspired towards with your teams approach to training and commitment?

Guess I was wrong - oh well, let's have our AGG stickers and halo backplates and shun any chance of possible corporate sponsorship shall we?
I think you have a reasonable point in essence, but I think you're blowing the whole thing out of proportion. I've played millennium series, NSPL and UK Masters and I've never really noticed an abundance of "tasteless" or offensive clothing etc - certainly no more than you find in every day life, walking from one end of a high street to the other.

The rule doesn't particularly bother me, I dont feel the need to wear clothes covered with swearwords anyway :s

With regard to me "displaying attitude" and a "lack of commitment", I think you should probably reserve such judgements until you actually meet me mate :p

I'm personally all in favour of running UK tournaments along the same lines as Millenniums and I have no problem with rejecting offensive clothing etc, but I was just saying that I can't see Syd sending people home from his tournaments for having the odd rude word on a shirt - its neither in his interests or the players, or the scene in general.

Peace and love yeah?
