That sounds pretty lame, i've never seen a pro player stuffing pods between bunkers, the only thing I could think is for use cheating or maybe when it gets hit it makes a sound so you don't get a penalty. More often than not the pod is in the far left/far right elastic double loops, Im really sure it's deliberate as well.

You obviously havent watched many Pro's mate.

Used for cheating? Not ever. So it makes a sound? That they can hear? Are the refs deaf? No mate, you got it all wrong.

Hehe! Im loving this thread!

If a pod is on your person and you get shot you are out, same with deal squeeqees. As soon as you let go of it or throw it then it then it is irrelevant. People mainly throw pots to get them out of their way, and to look so pro ;)

Many players use empty pods to plug gaps (ol school skills right there), but there is no way that having empty pods in their pack during a game is deliberate.

Mark, if i knew the reason people were carrying empty pods around, then i wouldn't have started this thread....

oh and the makes a sound idea is a seperate idea to using it for cheating. its easy to get shot on your pack and not know, i was just thinking an empty one would let you know when you're shot? and as for blocking holes, i wouldn't think it's worth taking an extra pod out with you..?

Cus some times needs a translator he talks to fast and putts multiple thoughts in to one sentence

Empty pot on the out side so when you get shoot it makes more of a sound i think he's thinking of the Millenium reffs who pull 1 4 1's for pack shots so if you here it you don't get 1 4 1'ed the yank tourneys arn't so 1 4 1 crazy so i doubt thats it

and as for taking empt pots to fill gaps in bunkers plausable, legal and regularly used by people at national level tourneys but i prefere to use full pots they dont move if they get shot. All you have to do is make sure you dont touch it if it gets hit or its touching you when it gets hit or your out.

Maybe your all thinking too deep, pods tend to get opened by accident easier when they are in the x loops. When you take them out the normal slots, elastic helps them along, so less accidental opening. in a game if i loose a load of paint from a pod in the x loop i dont bother taking the empty pot out, i just go for the next one.

Of course there could be another plausible explanation.

The rule used to be something like "a pod is disposable unless you leave paint in it, then its still part of your equipment" as in, if you refil, and leave 2 balls in it, its still equipment. But Im pretty sure they updated that rule.

Also with the "Ive used a pod and now im going to throw it in uber Pro fashion". I learned pretty quickly a few years ago when playing Joy Division in Amsterdam, it came down to 3 on 2, and we called the lock down. Now I refilled at some point, and launch my pod. And then we lost the game. A Joy player came over after and told me that they didnt know where I was, until they saw a pod flying through the air. So really, dont do it. :)

As for the empty pod thing in the pack, I have no idea. Look at RL and Dynasty, if they do it, then there is probably something in it. If they dont, then its spillage.

I used to do this. However the pots weren't actually empty, they contained my "A Game". If it ever came to a tight spot in a game, I'd flick the lid off my pot and my "A Game" would be released. It's basically microscopic spores, which were gathered in two places, the first being Chuck Norris's pockets, and at Ninja Festivals. So anyway, you would flick the lid, the game would be released, and you would breathe it in (dropping to your knees helped, as you would be closer to the cloud of spores), and you would then have the necessary skills/abilityies to bust out of whatever tight spot you are in, and finish the game in style. Kinda like when Popeye eats spinach.

So that's why people carry empty pots.
