Burst Disk Query

Okay quick question... I have a PMI preset on my fibrewrap, and the burstdisk just blew. Now it says 1.8k on it, but when I go to buy a new one the PMI ones only come in 7.5k and 5k.

Incase youre wondering, the 7.5k burst disk on my bottle is ok.

so, my question is- is the 1.8disk incorrect- should there have been a 5k disk on it instead, or is it okay to go ahead and buy a pro-toys burst disk (for 1.8k). Is it going to be an issue to put a 5k burst disk on it?

The 1.8k burst disk is correct. The 5k and 7.5k (3000psi and 4500psi) burst disks are for the high pressure side of the preset, you will be able to buy the 1.8k burst disk if you search a bit more, or phone and speak to someone in the shop.

Do not put a 5k burst disk where the 1.8k should be.

we get our burst discs from there, 7.5 and 1.8 varieties and they fit PMi presets.

Anywhere that sells Pure Energy air systems should be able to supply you with 1.8k burst discs for them.

Also, before you replace it you may want to find out why it blew, perhaps to prevent the same happening again.
