just because one is different to the other does not mean it isn't the same sport, take skateboarding for example, i know nothing on this so correct me if im wrong but you've got your street skaters and your ramp skaters, different style of play but it all boils down to the same sport, doesn't matter how you play it or where you play it.

Me i love playing in the woods and intend on staying there, to me sup air is just the same thing, no varyation, where as in woods you have all kinds of different game stratergies, its all down to personal preference, i don't diss supair because i dont like it, i consider it as a sport jsut as much as the woods!

The woods is generally where most players start off, so all who started in the woods, if you'd of started in sup air you might not be where you are today, paintball is paintball, everyones allowed to play whichever side of it they like.

Yes woods is coming more out of the shadows now, this is good, more players will have more opportuinity, if you look at something with a negative attitude and you try it you wont like it! don't knock it until you've tried it!

Still you can use skills from both sides of paintball in the other, alot of skills are needed in woodland i feel, the games are challenging as sometimes you have to make the most of your surroundings, it takes a good level of skill to play good in the woods, as supair fields are generally the same format (in my opinion) then its easy to know a field, so you know where peopel are going to be and exactly where your going to go, its not always liek this is woodland games, you have to be prepared for surprises, think on your feet.

The point im getting at is basically paintball is paintball, there is 2 different sides of it, everyone to their own, just becasue sup air is bigger doesn't mean it more of a sport!

you are completely right dude im an ex pro skater my body couldnt take the falls anymore but most are either ramp or street somtimes both! i used to skate both as i loved them both and i think paintball should be the same versitility is a good thing, its all good beeing able to get to the 50 from the break real quick but try it in woodland and its a different game coz the ground isnt always flat so there is a height advantage sometimes roots to trip over (and smash your hopper like me :D ) i think all paintballers should do both rather than limit themselves to supair or woodland!

As far away from you as possible
People are seeing the light my friend !
And what a bright light it is :D
I just think some people are tired with SOME( and it is a minority) of the poor attitudes in sup air, thing slike" we kill suka" doesn't help.

Woodland is also a change of formatt, a change keeps everything fresh.

Sup air is the minority so perhaps us "woodland folk" are just getting more serious?

sup air is the minority... but it doesn't mean that iits not huge! i mean u say "woodland folks" are getting more serious.. people in sup air the better part of 3/4 take it very seriously....

and as for brands like "we kill suckas". imk sure if you were working in paintball you would make what appeals to the customer.

I never sai danything about sup air not being the huge force it is.
That "we kill sukkas" remark was because I feel that the intimidation factor and attitude can put new players to the sport off sup air, coupled with new disciplines.

My 2 pence, take it or leave it but don't put words in my mouth.

*EDIT* yea thankyou IW2309, didn't spot that HAHAHA.

Please don't start arguing that woodland paintball is a sport- I'd like to continue going to the woods and having a relaxed day of fun play, not turn up and be lambasted because my not doing enough pressups and snapshooting drills between games is letting the side down and it's my fault UK teams can't win NPPL events.

Can I just say if snooker and darts falls under the "sports" title , then I really do think paintball will. I also think there will be a national paintball league for the woods next year !
