You say that belgium use more reball's then us do they use as much paint as us ????????

we have tried the reball thing didn't work fieball had to close down within the year....

Maybe some one else will try it you never know.

Plus the this is one of the most expensive places to live in the world there rents might be cheaper than ours because i know for a fact than warehouse rent is very expensive maybe there;s is cheaper than ours.

I am sorry but i cant see some one putting that much cost in to some thing that will give them no return. if there was some one would have done it by now.....

But hey maybe i am wrong but we need to look at things in house before we start comparing ourselves to over countries....

We have 4 pro teams in the cpl which is more than any other country i am proud of that we just need to work on our own thing before we start chasing the for the moon.

And if by that you are inferring Brit ball is fine and dandy, then you couldn't be further from the truth.
I am not advocating chasing the moon but I could never be accused of emulating an ostrich.

I am not saying that robbo you know i am not but we need to work on things in house mate....

We have spoke on the phone you know how a feel about the apathy of UK ballers but like i said do belgium use more paint then us ????

Is the cost of living and the rents cheaper there ?????

That's all i am saying dude...

I think we have tried to walk before we can run in this country going for the big prize instead of working to wards a goal.

Look at joy now there up there because of training and dedication.

The Russians they don't use reballs and they are getting on OK ??

1) Belgium uses nowhere near as much paint as the UK. Or do you mean on a per player basis?
2) Hardly.
3) No comparison. The Russians have "unlimited" funding, it doesn't matter to them whether they shoot paint or reballs, it won't hurt their budget. Joy has a very limited budget compared to the big US teams, but got to where it is through smart training, i.e. Reballs.

C'mon, Markie. The point surely is that Reball use is a decent indicator of serious intent because you don't so much play the game with Reballs as develop and hone skills. It's a different focus.
No doubt there are a variety of considerations that go into Reball purchases but the baseline must be the pursuit of excellence or at least improvement.

And surely the Legion, much like the top Americans, have access to lots more paint than the norm.

This looks like it is getting into one of them things so i am leaving it now...

How do you know the rents are cheaper over there to hear ?????

For a bog standard warehouse with 50,000 sqf you are looking at 30,000 plus to rent it and that with a 3 year minimum lease.

The russians have a unlimited budget so it doesn't matter what they do...

But if it meant that it would be3 cheaper to use reballs than paint i know that Sergei is a business man so it would make sense for him to switch to them ?????

Joy have got to wear they are from dedication and training yes with reballs
but joy have been together for a long time and i would but there winning down to just reballs...

what i know about paintball to robbo and maybe your self is nothing so i bow out but i think it is wrong to compare us to Belgium because they use more reballs.

now that makes more sense thank you bacca i will stand down i am wrong but i still stand behind the fact that to get some thing good set up over here would be a majour cost because of the renst going uop and up and land being more and more sort after.

Markie. Teams can hire out rooms from all sorts of places for Reball Practice. They can do it in their garage or in any number of places with a little thought. I think the point here is that UK teams haven't embraced the reball idea for training - I don't know of one Pro team that uses them, never mind other teams (someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong).

So, the question has to be, why haven't we embraced the idea? What have we got against investing in Reballs and saving a bucket load of cash on paint over the season?

Robbo - I don't think the sale of Reballs in the UK is indicative of the amount of "seriousness" for training we have over here. I just don't think the idea of Reballs has caught on here. Thats the bottom line to me. The question is, why?
