Hi guys, anyone got any news on Uni Leagues? Is there anything happening? I'm stuck at Leeds Uni now (teamless) so would appreciate:
a) Anyone at Leeds who is a baller
b) Any other Uni Teams
c) Whoever knows anything about the Uni League (if still exists)
replying here :)

Cheers guys (want to ball again!:( )

****, someone else at Leeds uni who balls.
That makes 4 of us I think, me , LeeE, a guy called Lev who has played before and yourself.
LeeE is trying to set something up as far as I know.
We should meet for a drink sometime. I'll be in the old bar from 12 this Friday for most of the afternoon I think, usually have a green laysick hoody on, or a laysick tee (represent) or a laysick lanyard danglin from somewhere, and some stickers on my trainers left on from campaign. I might be pretty ****ed cause its my deadline day like.

As Matty said, the Inter-university league is very much happening. Technically it is round 1 this weekend (the first one was sort of a taster thing). It is unfortunately too late for you to enter a team, however once the rounds are over there shall be an Inter-uni championship which any university can enter.

Also, the University Barbarians is a team which anyone currently enrolled at a UK uni can play with, we acommodate all skill levels. Since starting this year we have played in the UK masters and hope to do so again this year, along with some other events. Join up on our forums and give us a shout at:

We are going to be having a large uni student training session at NQ (hopefully) in the early months of next year, so come along to that too and meet other student ballers!

No, they are not. The purpose of the Inter-uni league is to get a base from which paintball can get BUSA (British universities sports association) recogntion and thus unis can get their tournament teams recognised as an Athletic Union society.

This would allow the university teams to get a whole lot more money and would obviously be good for all! However this means that we are already doing the league by the BUSA entry rules, so each team must be from a UK University and consist only of team members who are current students at that uni. Obviously this means that the Barbarians cannot play, however much I would like them to :(

So, to surmise - no. Sorry!

whats the deal with side line, as im assuming that is part of the team. Would it mean that side line coaches must be registered students or can grads (life members of union) do the role. Tiny bit confused with this.
