time c: obviously you know, nothing of playing sup'air, and from that post... absolutely diddly squat about how the brain and eyes work/percieve things/objects/movement
I'll freely admit to knowing nothing about sup'air, but I know enough about vision to know a bright pink hopper will draw my attention faster than a yellow hopper against a yellow bunker...

Whether it makes any difference to the outcome of a game is what I am curious about.

can we set a date for an experiment then...

we will dree you up as a bunker and hide you on the field... let someone light you up like a christmas tree bunker, then see if you think it works; by doing the same experiment with you in a bright pink jump suit...

either way, youll still get lit up, and will most definately not make any noticeable difference

Camo vs Tourney wear

This thread possibly leads on to something thats been on my mind also...

Basically I wear an army surplus camo jacket and trousers, as I don't care if they get ripped, muddy, or covered in paint. Whether it helps with regards to actually hiding me is another thing. Prob not too much, but I would indeed argue that a bright blue tourney style top would stick out more than say a green camo top in the woods, which I think is part of Tim's point.

To be honest... whether I look the part of a typical woodsballer or not... I still feel a bit of a plank wearing camo gear, and wonder what else should I be wearing? I would feel equally a plank wearing tourney type wear, as I don't play tourney's. Don't get me wrong I think tourney wear looks cool, on tourney players, but I aint a tourney player so I wouldn't feel right in it.

So what's the compromise? Is their standard paintball wear which isnt camo, but not bright tourney wear? Where do we go if we not mil-sim fanatics or dedicated tourney players but just want to 'look the part'?

Amsterdam? I'm sure Rocky Cagnoni had to wear lead-lined boots there one year. Probably the same year the netting and towers nearly left the event...
