i would imagine on the comp, with a tablet. the colours are too true and bright to be scanned in.

Yeah I draw them all by hand with a pencil and ink them on paper. Then the image is scanned into the computer. Any lines requiring cleaning up are fixed with a tablet and the images are then coloured and assembled in photoshop. Finally any digital elements are added (such as christmas lights) and the strip is ready for publishing.
