There is a big attitude difference between the nations when it comes to 'playing to win' and general approach to pball life. A lot of people say attitudes stink over there, which from a moral/sporting perspective is probably true in some cases. The fact of the matter is they win and whether you like it or not, there is a certain irony in slating how the American kids talk crap on their forums.

isn't it mor elikley that they will have a lot more tellent simply because the U.K. is like a small spec of dust compared to the U.S.?

I think PBnation is ok, because flaming is equil but it shows a lot of Americans to be what they are, trash talking,racist wanna be "gangsta" homophobes.

1. Nobody suggested otherwise. But for the sake of argument I'm not really sure anymore, I have been fortunate enough to play against and with American players and their whole attitude is very different. It's a cultural thing. There are guys like Markie and Dave S over here doing proactive things like building sites, but the takeup isn't going to rock the world anytime soon. Why? Attitudes. Again though, I know the states has the benefit of 'pool size' but that isn't the point.
2. Paintballing teens are fickle, geeky creatures that go with the trend. It dosn't show that about the American people at all.
Down at D7's we got Shock/Nexus/Ducks training almost every wk-end...
They help us out no end - couldn't be easier...
PBN sucks. If i was 15 years younger i could go with the flow, but since i am 30 yrs already i don't need all that BS. overhyped kiddy crap.
Therein lies my point - down south.
The pro teams seem to be spread out across the states whereas our teams are mostly down south with the exception of the kelly's who do an excellent job over at NQ headquarters.
Mike,y. There are kids in the states who will travel 4 or 5 hours to practice and not moan about it. Their parent will even drive them there and back. They have a will to excel which the vast majority of kids here dont have.
in the states its necessary for parents to drive their kids practically everywhere because suburbia is so seperated from the actual town. which is probably why the driving age is lower over there... i guess that driving across the state is also a lot easier, as they have better roads, so parents will be less reluctant to do it...
i supose paintball bieng a lot more accessible to people in ammerica also has a lot to do with it as well...
for example, you can walk into walmart and buy a box of paint for $30, and a spyder for $99... thats been the deal in every walmart ive been in making it more available and mainstream

i personnaly belive that what ppl fail to miss is that the US have like 5 times more ppl (idk the numbers) so when u think about it there is the same chance of someone "becoming pro" as their is here PERCENTAGE WISE. i reckon its all percentages ppl.oh and this thread is for 13137 players only u goofy goobers
