I think time and time again, people have been warned away from them.
Now don't flame me for this Fish but they were rubbish, no matter what the excuse they could have given people straight answers about their goods and saved their reputation, but no they chose to ignore people, give a second rate service and then do a bunk with peoples money:eek: didn't see that coming
Their site was a giveaway. skateboards, radio control cars, shooting, paintball....name another independant store that does that? nope me neither !
I don't believe their demise has anything to do with the state of the industry, just merely the fact that they we cack as a store......irrespective of how friendly their staff were?
I have some great mates.......but i wouldn't employ them, yet it appears gizmo's would.
More trade for lips and planet now then i suppose:p

there is some things i can take from what youve said there and agree with; but there is one major factor that you do however have wrong...

the staff were not to blame in any way shape or form: they did what they were told and put things through every protocal and process instituted by the boss thus slowing things down and making everything hard, including communication between upstairs and downstairs.

with regards to feedback, being a mod on their forum, i can tell you that a lot appeared there... and it either got an arsey reply from martin, or, magically dissapeared :)rolleyes:). so there is only one person who is technically ignoring that.

the staff have been ****ed over as much as their customers have really mate, they lost contact with the owner for a period of time and then out of the blue recieved this letter saying he had had enough, was fed up with the stress, and was retiring and moving to another country...

since hearing this, a number of suppliers and another shop have contacted me and other people who know ex-staff, and have asked us if we can help them locate either martin, or their stock, since they want money, or their stock back... as you say, none of this closure is anything to do with the demise of paintball in the uk. this was a great company up to the management, then all the books, customer service and general communication, have been twisted, or are apparently non-existant to some extents some would say.

do you see what im saying? and that wasn't flaming, i was just correcting you in the one key point about the staff, they were great at their jobs (as set by the management)!

I can't help it, I've actually been there...

I did get monumentally drunk one evening there though, while at the same time getting welcome attention from most of the women in the club. So I guess you get some kudos for that.

Still, there is always Newport, South Wales. That's infinitely worse.

Oi lol Newport is where I'm from :D (no j/k)
