Yup was out in Edinburgh saturday night, drove back to Newcastle Sunday. Left decent weather... the further south I got the worse the weather... something wrong there
Yes the rain was bad, but that alone isnt a reason to call off an event. Well i was there, and didn't hear much about why it got called off. Im sure an official response will be posted up soon enough.
From what I recall it was to do with the fact that the netting could be blown down due to the high winds. And it was the site operator that requested the cancelation of the event rather than the pa bods
We arrived saturday afternoon and there was no wind nor rain so the netting could have gone up as per normal.
Yeah it p!ssed down from about 3.30am but was not that bad when players started to arrive and still the wind was not bad. We have all played in worse so the event was not cancelled due the the weather on that day.
The site owner or the PA organisers knew the neeting would not be going up on saturday so should have contacted captains to stop their teams from travelling up.
What a waste of time. I drove back via Dartford and trained at D7s with not a glimpse of bad weather all day.
