I think the main reasons for the yank teams not coming over are the lack of serious competition and the cost.

Free agents coming over will probably get the whole thing covered, providing you're on the Lang, Greenspan or Martinez level.

I wasn't in a position to confirm it, which is why I put it in the rumour mill section.
I hope this is not the case as firstly I enjoy watching both teams playing against European opposition and secondly if arguably the two biggest teams in the tournament pull out the entire series will be devalued.

I like the idea of Ryan playing for Firm.

They may have just been passing the time, as Ryan came over to do Dynasty Clinics at Markie's site many years ago, and was in sunny Barnsley doing a Clinic last year.

Or, if you want to read more into it, Firm is moving from Empire back to Eclipse, so there will be no sponsor conflict if Ryan plays for them. Markie is still on good terms with Ledz, and they both go to City games.

Plus, it gives Eclipse a UK team in the CPL, which they don't have.

But since they have Impact & Dynasty, maybe they don't care about UK CPL teams.

That said, Empire can offer paint deals, which Eclipse can't. Or maybe Empire are tightening up sponsorship in 2017.

That's a lot of maybes.

Not a rumour, confirmed, in addition to Travis and Damien being laid off by G.I./Empire Cali and Nick Sloviack were given their marching orders at the same time!
