3 large companies merged into one. Its natural that there would be a lot of duplicated positions, especially between Kee and GI.
I know of several talented individuals that were main-stays at Tippmann that are now gone. Strangely I didn't hear any public outcry about those guys - maybe because they were aren't players?

Paintball is in a slump.
Businesses have to tighten their belts to survive.
The struggle is real.
Do GI know what they are doing? Yes, I think so. They are doing what a any well-operated business should do in an industry downturn. They are trying to run as efficiently as possible. I have friends that have lost their jobs in this shuffle, and they understand why they were cut.

What the flying feck are GI doing?
I don't know, But I'll never intentionally buy anything from GI, They made my good friend over over 30 years redundant (Jon Bonich) a man who has given a lot and taken little out of paintball, Then they force my friend bobby out of infamous because he dared to get another job with a different paintball company because he could see what was coming with the gi thing, Then they fire my friends Damian and Cali, My friend Brad is hanging in there by the skin of his teeth and will probably have to move to florida, He's just about to get married and needs to keep his job.
Travis is one of the good guys in paintball, he reminds me a bit of marcus and how he treated us, to travis the infamous squad is his family and hopefully gino will look after him and his paintball family.
Me personally I hope Baldrick and GI have bitten off more than they can chew and that the mills goes belly up and GI who have done some unscrupulous things, such as moving certain debts to empire and then placing it in administration (check companies house records) I hope the investment company backing richmond decides that they want their money back and Valken take over everything for a tiny fraction of what GI paid for Kee.
But that's just me, I tend to want the best for my friends and I think GI screwed most of them over.
Billy I hope leaves too.

I know this is off topic but I was just wondering, why do you think people didn't pay for the impact series to continue? I would have thought as so many watched it surely people would want it to continue, I may be wrong and sorry if this is in the wrong place/wrong time

People don't want to pay for videos. They know that after a time, they will be on Youtube for free anyway.

If you did a poll, you'd find only a handful of people on here pay for the NXL/MS webcast.

With Fulcrum dumping that much money into GI. I think that was their silly name. I have a strong suspicion that they're the one pulling the strings behind how to off load that debt. That's what they do day in and day out. Slide debt around and then toss it into Chapter 11 or Chapter 13 protection. Buy a company, get the Intellectual Property and then sell what they can, slash and burn and move on.

I saw Nick in Chantilly and he wasn't playing, he also seemed pretty angry about that fact. Makes much more sense if the connection with GI has been severed.

It's a shame, it really is. I'm happy to see that DYE now has an influx of teams and cash due to their military contracts, and is back helping out teams. We'd be in a world of hurt if they had gone away and then this happened.

The main reason for Nick not playing is his commitment to Go Sports and the webcast, they pay his way, if GK paid for his flights and accommodation, Go Sports would be happier for him to play. However, this wasn't in the original deal with the team and G.I. who were his primary employer at the time.

Seeing on PBnation that BLAST (Bob long) has been sold. Not sure how true this is.
