I do hope that more teams sign up.

But I see two main problems with the millennium Series.

First and foremost is cost:
€900 for Div 4!!
With 8 players that’s around £85 each.
Plus player passes
Plus all the other expenses.

Yes, I ‘get’ that it takes place over two days, but in reality, what does it offer that CPPS doesn’t?
It needs a USP, or a priced competitively, because, as with most people I guess we’re on a budget.

The second is Razzamatazz!
Where do they advertise?
Where is the buzz?
The promotion?
They don’t seem to promote it anywhere, unless you already ‘know’ about it…

And even if you do know about it, where/ how are they trying to convince you that taking part in a ‘Prestige’ event is worth that cost.
It seems to me, that there is an expectation that people go to the MS.
The MS doesn’t go to them…..

Which is a little arrogant considering you have such an excellent domestic tournament series in the UK already.

Yes it is a little arrogant ,but CC was going long before CPPS. All your points are valid and paintball punters are voting with their feet. It will lead to a fall in the standard of play in GB (already showing) .but since no one is playing European and US teams ,you could say that hardly matters.

It has a knock on effect as the pool of willing talent shrinks those teams playing MS are finding it harder to pick up fresh talent. As for advertising, in my hotel for Chantilly last year there was an A4 trifold colour double sided glossy leaflet in the tourist information pack in reception. My hotel wasn't even in Chantilly, it was about 15 miles away! Not since 2007 when we contributed images for the banners and flyers that went out around the town for the first Basildon event have I seen anything like that in the UK. Last year Barry sat in a tent at CPPS with a pile of ink jet printed flyers on copy paper!
