cambo - I've read some threads in my time but your post is right up there with the most gutless of all of them.
Your pathetic reason for not expressing an opinion on barnett is premised on the fact that he hasn't yet screwed you over ..... what sort of excuse is that when you have reams of testimonial evidence that condemns and records their experiences with barnett on here, are you calling them liars? ... and yet, they ain't good enough for you are they cambo ... you need more.

And to suggest your opinion is suspended because barnett hasn't yet screwed is the justification of a self-serving scumbag .. I don't much like weak people like you cambo, you offend any sense of fair-minded comment.
You sit on the fence, you ignore everything barnett has done and by default you defend the indefensible, barnett ....

How the hell can you have the audacity to suggest that 'time will tell' ..as to the truth surrounding barnett? ....

I am gutted to hear that the uk paintball awards will be no more. I haven't been in the past but planned to attend and maybe enter in the future.

It's a sad day for paintball. We've lost an event that should bring people together to celebrate the good times we've had over the year and to show our appreciation for players, events and media by nominating and voting for them. It annoys me that the "politics" has infected and ruined something great that you've worked hard to achieve.

I really hope you have a change of heart on this matter and people rally to support you as I'd love to see the event back!!!

Wait a minute, so we state quite rightly that we have not attacked Cambo directly and insomuch causing his decision to end his part in the awards, but when he disassociates himself from timothy we (two of us anyway) then attack him directly?

For whatever reason Cambo has decided he no longer wants to be associated with tim, we should see that as it is... One less ally that tim has!

There may be reasons why Cambo doesn't want to give the whole story (as I didn't when it happened to me), and I for one can relate to that but the latest posts don't pave the way for him to ever come back on here with his side of things, probably quite the opposite. Yes Ians post could be seen as quite ambiguous in the fact that he hasn't attacked tim but there will be reasons for that I'm sure. Reasons that Ian may well live to regret as he says but those attacks will not help our cause, we should welcome the fact that timothy is getting weaker, his grip on the awards has gone and with it another anonymous soap box from which to preach.

This is a good day, and as timothy's MO is to get the knife in first he may later give Ian cause to come forwards, if that happens I hope he can see that he can.

Cambo I feel your pain. I know you were involved initially for the right reasons. However this backlash which has led to the cancelling of the awards should be no surprise to you - I personally had a discussion with you years ago expressing my concerns about the integrity and independence of the awards, when you assured me that the database was protected from all commercial interests ! - which has subsequently proved not to be the case !

It was clear to us here at Warped (and I suspect to other event organisers) from VERY early on that the awards were being used as a blatant database grab. Whether Cambo was complicit or not is of interest to me but not something I will lose any sleep over. Im pretty sure hes not malicious or deliberately underhand, merely another duped victim !

Should there be an end of year awards/bash? why not? should the players be able to vote independently for their favourite game/team/player etc hell yeah!. But I wasn't born yesterday and I'm not going to encourage the customers we work hard and long to serve to just pass their email address onto someone under the guise of voting for our event !

I dont post here often so while Im here I would just like to mention the UKPSF. There are a lot of old misconceptions about the UKPSF. Today its actually the most active behind the scenes its ever been. I am not personally involved but I know it has many smart and experienced guys involved. From what I can tell they are looking at all of the major issues affecting and likely to affect our game in the future, and Im sure we will see the benefit of their work in due course. It would be great to see them take on an awards night and more but I think they really are trying to deal with some fundamental issues which need sorting first. There is a UKPSF facebook page and a website which will tell you who is involved and Im sure they would be happy to answer any questions.

Frenchy, I don't really give a toss as to whether I've met cambo or not mate - what counts in my book is what he stands for, and going on the post he made in this thread, he's a gutless fool not worthy of respect from any fair-minded person.

cambo had an opportunity to come off the fence and condemn the things barnett has done but he elected to direct blame toward others .. none to barnett !!
Let me ask you this, if barnett had screwed you for 60 grand and cambo never condemned it, how would you feel then???

I know the answer to that and so do you - for a long time, I've stood my ground concerning barnett whilst others have done absolutely nothing in terms of going on record with their experiences concerning barnett but these people were more than happy to stand by and watch me take the ensuing sh!t-fest.

A lot of people were more than willing to tell me what barnett had done but when it came to going public? .... well, you know how that one goes Jim.

I'm sick to death of these people who ain't got the balls to stand up and be counted when it comes to someone like barnett infecting our sport and industry.
I lost count of the number of messages I've received saying something like, 'Pete, this is what barnett did but can you keep my name out of it ..blah, blah, blah '

I just cannot come to terms with people who say that to me and yet are more than willing to recount their experiences with barnett but expect me to run with it' ....
cambo is just as guilty by default .... it's not what he did .. it's what he didn't do that brands him.

Lee, you are missing the point mate - cambo has not drawn a clear line in the sand. He may well be announcing the cancellation of the awards night but that is not the same as him condemning barnett in being instrumental in the cancellation.
If barnett hadn't been involved in the awards night, cambo wouldn't need to cancel, it's as simple as that.
And yet, he's quite remiss when it comes to all the crap barnett has done but cambo then goes on to blame some of us .....
FFS Lee, that's not a plus point at all, it's an utter dereliction of responsibility and a deep insult directed to those people who have suffered at barnett's hand.
cambo says nothing, delivers nothing and achieves nothing..

The question that now arises for me at least is:- some people have vouched for cambo by suggesting he's a good guy but if this is the case then how can people explain the fact that he'd rather lay the blame the cancellation of the awards night on some of us but completely fails to acknowledge one damn thing about barnett??
It don't seem to make sense :/
