I think the fact that a lot of what barnett does is reliant upon up-front monies being paid, it will now prove to be critical for barnett's survival.

If the Awards night has been cancelled because of a lack of ticket sales then it really does signal something fundamental going on with respect to barnett's business model.
barnett's next event now takes on enormous significance for obvious reasons not least because he desperately needs to reach a break-even figure before he can go forward with the event regardless of what he posts.
However, on previous occasions it seems that sables has stepped in to keep barnett alive as exampled by sables having all the ticket monies for Staargate being funnelled through him.
sables subsequently messaged Gino [copy posted a few days ago] in an attempt to distance himself from barnett in a slithering, sychophantic embarrassing denial of any close association with barnett but it was just another crock of bullish!t.
But even with that in mind, I don't think sables can possibly bail out barnett again because even for sables, it's too much to ask.
I might have been hugely critical of both in the past, I don't think sables presents with the same array of clinical conditions that barnett possesses.
And if sables does call it a day with barnett , you can bet your bottom dollar that 'sables' name will be added to the list of industry conspirators who have ganged up on barnett - It's an absolute cast-iron cert...
sables enduring support of barnett will be forgotten in a heartbeat as barnett will immerse himself in a paranoid rant of accusations.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I often am) but haven't the only posts about the awards simply said:

• Tb / Shoreline favour their own events / teams etc when deciding nominations / winners
• People won't go because of Tb / Shoreline
• Shoreline took the emails of people who voted for the awards and used them for their email distribution. This is a FACT as it happened to me and many others, with questions asked about how they obtained the email addresses on shorelines page deleted. I had to unsubsribe twice, having not knowingly signed up, never bought from bluewater or shoreline.

Not sure anyone has mentioned (or even knew about) Cambo?

There's a post on fb with people saying stuff like 'keyboard warriors are spoiling things'... Not sure I agree, people speaking out about their experiences with Tb / Shoreline is totally different to people slating the orgraniser of the paintball awards, which I haven't seen.

For the sake of the people who would attend them I hope that someone (like the UKSPF for example) will take over and keep them going!

This is a really important period for our sport we are now entering because it offers up an opportunity to cleanse ourselves and move forward in an entirely different direction.
We have the guys to do the necessary jobs and the UKPSF isn't such a bad place to start as long as all vestiges of barnett have been eradicated - I don't really know a lot of those names and faces on the UKPSF but if Ledzy is involved in some way then we are in good hands.

People need to listen to what Ledz says and what he advises, he is 100% honest and 100'% trustworthy - if you guys do this, you'll come out of this stink-fest smelling of roses.
Also try and get Bully to oversee any transition and once it's done, you can then let Steve graze out in paintball's pastures with myself.
Within 6 months, barnett will be but a distant stain in our memory ... our sport deserves proper representation with positions filled with people who haven't got vested interests other than those of moving our sport forward in the right direction.
Our sport needs people of integrity and people who can be trusted, they ain't that hard to find if you look.

UKPSF is getting trotted out a lot lately, any actual statements from them regarding if they are going to do anything? They seem to be next to Jesus our saviour for the UK scene, yet the silence is deafening. I look forward to seeing some really good ideas and most importantly some actual work done and also some new promoters appearing running some exciting games instead of the status quo of everybody out for themselves.

When I was the UKPSF VC I put forward the following.
UKPSF Awards
UKPSF Big Game

The committee felt that they did not want to clash with another awards event. The big game idea was also shelved as there was no suitable date on the calendar.

No there is the perfect opportunity for Staargate to become the big game/trade / player conference and for the awards to come under the UKPSF.
