Next games coming up for SPL sees Disruption against 5*. If Disruption can put the hurt down, it could really help The Firm further up the leader tables.

The Firms first game will be at 13:10 (assumed local time) against Ignition.

Patrick Wrobel of Frankfurt Syndicate retiring as well.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the Mills trying to move to a ltd paint format (speaking of which, have we heard anything more about that?) or if it's just old players getting old. Both Pat and Voulot have been around the block a few times.

I think they're both getting old. Loic was on the webcast and said he wants to be involved with the French team more and help manage at that level. He wants to leave the team in a good place and said they're fully funded for at least 2 years, so he can leave and bring new people up, including Axel's brother.

Wrobel I think it just straight up old and retiring.

Dave's reasons are just he has won it all, and is busy with work and family so he can't practice as much as the guys on the team and doesn't want to yank a roster spot from one of them. Can't really fault him for that.

The amount of **** Steve posts on facebook I didn't really have a choice!

Interesting you mention that. In my experience a home field advantage can play quite an instrumental part in results.

Back in my day (2011, the last full season of mills I played)
Art Chaos took 2|1|1|1 over the course of the season
Dynasty took 1|5|3|3
It gets interesting when you look past that and at the 3rd places.
Paris and Disney - Ton tons took 3rd and 2nd
London - Nexus took 2nd
Bitburg - Instinct took 3rd

On it's own it doesn't look that much like a definitive home field advantage. But if you look at season results

Nexus - 7th, 8th, 2nd (London), 11th
Instinct - 16th, 3rd (Bitburg) 11th, 9th
TonTons - 3rd (Paris) 7th, 7th, 2nd (Disney France)

Playing at home comes with a few perks, not to mention the home crowd coaching:-

- Less stress with travel/accommodation
- Less time spent travelling = more prep time, or sleep or even less time taken off from work
- Easier access to spare parts and pit crew
- Knowing where to get food and cash

Little things but they do help.

Nexus had a much better performance at Campaign compared to Puget and Bitburg this year and made it to Sunday club, although whether that was due to the home fixture or Clint Moore being available is a question... Maybe a bit of both ;)

Sorry guys. Got called into a meeting.

So the upsets of the day...

Heat lose to ML Kings then go on to 5-0 Icon
ML Kings lose to heat (confusing I know, two different Heats. They lost to Amsterdam Heat, but beat Houston Heat)

Moving on to the UK scores

Nexus lose both their games 5-1 and 5-2
Tigers lose both their games 5-1 and still have to play Polar Bears

SPL
Disruption go 1 and 1, losing to 5* but beating Ducklings 4-0
The Firm beat Ignition and got the 4-0 win over Outcast, god rest their souls.

Div1
15s win both their games
Nexus 2 and Dv8 lose both of theirs

Div2
Warped lose both their games

Gotta go to the doctors now, I know you're all waiting on my updates with baited breath.
