I'm a country member!
PS As for ulterior motives resulting from the exclusive support of another league?
I think there maybe some mention somewhere of a condition that precludes companies from being a paint sponsor at Millenniums if you are supporting a rival league.
I could be wrong but it does ring a bell inside my big bald head somewhere .....
I'm not too sure on that one, iirc both Dye (in 2013) and Empire have supplied paint at CPS and MS events concurrently. When talking to the Valken Europe guys at Chantilly they were under the assumption that being a paint sponsor for 2014 was a done deal, we all know that done deals can be undone though ;)

However, we digress.

Pete, I'm not altogether sure that the condition has been rigorously applied in all cases but maybe there's an elastic enforcement if you get what I mean ....
If so, then it makes you wonder, just what sort of things are factored in when it comes to a condition' s enforcement?
I know what sort of things I would factor in but I can only speak for myself.
After all, if I was the gate-keeper, and I didn't like someone or they had pis$ed me off, I don't think I'd be too sympathetic to their appeals for inclusion.
In fact, I'd tell them to fuhk right off ..... still, none of us really know what went down do we ...

Is it ulterior motives though? Some would call it repercussions.

Every action having an equal and opposite re actiojjj7n and all that :)
Jim, I'd tend to agree with that if indeed there was a deliberate exclusion imposed as against a set of prevailing circumstances that prevent acceptance as a paint supplier.
What astounds me the most is the arrogance with which barnett automatically assumed there was never gonna be a problem and he was gonna just swan in and hand out paint like he was some sort of knight in shining armour.

Is HK Army paint possibly just Valken stuff rebranded?

I'm not expert but from what I do know there really aren't that many paint manufacturers out there so much of what there is are often just elaborate branding exercises.

Speculation is rife Pete but regardless of who it would have gone through, it didn't stop barnett from trying to act the Billy Big Bollox in assuming the role of benefactor to his so-called 'sponsored' teams at forthcoming Millennium events..
I don't think it would be "Billy Big Bollox" of him if he was to have had word from Gino saying "yo we're gunna have paint at the mills" only to be pipped to the post at the last minute by HK. I don't know the situation, but I can't see how Valken not having paint at the mills is indicative of any ill behaviour of a shop that stocks their goods.

HK paint is made by APX (supposedly), the purple shell does look like Valken, but (supposedly) it isn't.

I have deliberately resisted making any mention of Valken because I've got no grief with them or Gino.
And this is why I've made sure to focus on my problem and not on any collateral associations.

Dave, I may be having a blonde day but I'm not sure what you are referring to but as for barnett acting the Billy Big Bollox, I don't know what he was or wasn't told re the selling paint at Millenniums but he was larging it up in telling his teams he's the man who's gonna be handing the stuff out; like a lot of things Dave, it's not so much what was done as against how it was done.

barnett loves to act out the role he imagines himself to be and he's maybe come a cropper on this one but you also said you weren't aware of what was happening in the background regarding barnett's exclusion, however, a few people are well aware of some of the details surrounding the chronology and motives behind decisions relating to this.
Even so, it doesn't take too much to work out that barnett's involvement was never gonna be a positive factor, quite the reverse I would think.
But then again, that's just my opinion, albeit a tainted one but this hopefully doesn't detract or undermine anything I might say or speculate upon with regard to this situation.
I think if we put ourselves in the position of having being severely abused and purposefully antagonised in front of a lot of people, and then the person responsible for that wants to come over to your house .. I doubt the reception is gonna be a warm one to put it mildly.
But once again, it's speculation on my part and maybe I've just become too cynical these days, or on the other hand, I could be reading too much into it.
Maybe .... maybe not !
