I’ve learned a lot of things during my time in paintball none more so than when considering this thread concerning barnett.
You get to learn about human nature when things are going wrong because adversity sometimes brings out both the good and bad in people. The subject of this thread has been barnett and what he’s done to people whilst going about his paintball business.

He’s not really like normal people - the way his mind works is fundamentally different than most.
I’m certainly not qualified to make any clinical diagnosis but I didn’t have to be a psychologist to know that Michael Jackson was a frikkin nut-job or that Hitler was a psychopathic, power-crazed narcissist.
Some people wear their psychopathy like a badge and I’m afraid barnett’s badge is the way he treats people, it defines him.
And just as someone with Tourette’s can’t stop their tics, people like barnett can’t stop the way he treats others – it’s his nature.

This doesn’t mean to say it’s impossible for him to adjust his behaviour because he can, well at least, he’s able to change some aspects of his behaviour but for the most part, he’s held hostage by his condition.
He knows he's doing wrong but he doesn't feel as though he has to accommodate anyone but himself.

The problem when dealing with a psychotic such as barnett is you have to try and understand what motivates him and the best way to achieve that is to realise he really is a borderline megalomaniac - if not a full-blown case then he’s definitely one in the making.

This isn’t a pretentious or irresponsible diagnosis on my part – it really is an honest observation after hearing and reading so many of his interactions with people who dare to question or criticise things he’s done.
I previously listed the main symptoms of megalomania in my original post in this thread but suffice it to say, he genuinely ticks all the boxes to a lesser or greater degree.
But, should this necessarily be a problem for us in paintball ?

Not in itself, no, but when he starts behaving in ways that are clearly symptomatic of his condition then we have to start defining boundaries for him.
We also have to alert people as to what may be in store for them somewhere down the line if there is a continued association with him.
Businesses are of course set up to make money but it’s the way it’s achieved that is one of the most important considerations, and my issue with barnett is the collateral damage he leaves in his wake.

Basically, he’s both callous and ruthless !!
People are something to be used and discarded when he has no further use for them .. it’s obviously not an absolute but generally speaking, this is how he views a lot of people.
But, for those people who are collateral damage to barnett, there lies in wait a double-whammy – not only is there some form of betrayal, he follows it up with a character assassination that seems to know no bounds.
To elicit this reaction in him, you only have to publicly question his motives or report some grievance you might have had with him or one of his events and then the floodgates open upon whichever poor soul had the misfortune to be betrayed by him.

Pete Russell and Simon Cole are prime examples of this aspect of barnett’s behaviour but as we now know, there are plenty more people who are lined up and willing to testify what he’s done to them.
And most of them have done exactly this and posted in this thread … I’m damned sure there’s more who haven’t yet posted and so I doubt we’ll ever know the true extent of barnett’s collateral damage report.
If there’s any karma in this world, then surely it deserves to be visited upon him, if not, there’s no justice in life.
I will concede one point in barnett’s favour and that is, he’s not stupid but I’d still argue, he does plenty of stupid things.
He’s nowhere near as smart as he likes to think he is that’s for sure but exaggerated notions of his own intelligence are yet another symptom of his condition – it’s extremely difficult for people like him to admit to any shortfall in his life.
To do so would be contravening his mind-set and that’s something beyond his ability and besides, why should he? …. I got plenty of reasons why he should but he wouldn't ever listen, he’s deaf to criticism, and his path through our sport is gonna be an eventful one.

This thread will eventually lose its hold on people’s attention and interest but at least the thread achieved what I wanted it to do but it did so in such a spectacular way as exemplified by the sheer scale of interest with coming up for 75,000 views which breaks all records in such a relatively short time-frame.

It shows me two things, people care about our sport and will eventually climb down from the fence and eventually do the right thing if the circumstances are right.
It also shows me just how many interested parties we have on-board which was a revelation for myself. I never could have guessed we had so many different people involved in reading the thread and also posting.

barnett must have sought counsel on what to do about this thread – he will have tried the legal route I’m sure but I’m afraid he got nowhere - he tried the police but once again, there was nothing he could do – he even had discussions regarding ‘alternative’ methods of dealing with me but he would have realised that’s not a responsible or wise path to follow because that sorta sh!t has got a nasty way of boomeranging and he’s not cut out for all that – he likes to tell people he is but bottom line is, he knows deep down he’s not been acclimatised to those types of behaviours – delusional hard-men are soon found out and when it comes on top for them and he’d soon end up adopting the foetal position.

His public impotence in dealing with this thread and its posters must have been hugely frustrating and quite embarrassing for him - there must have been times when he wished he’d just kept his big mouth shut and not told Steve Baldwin he’d ‘ran me out of paintball’ because those words are now coming back to haunt him.
But it’s not something he didn’t deserve all along .. he’s brought all this upon himself and I’m glad I played my part but I’m more glad concerning others who finally found the strength to post about their experiences with him.
I’ll toast them this Christmas …
Cheers !!

It would seem barnett has been a naughty boy again by breaking the law concerning the data protection act.
He's apparently used the email addresses that were used in the voting for the awards night and he then used those emails for shoreline' s interests which is I'm afraid against the law.
And when someone made it plain he wasn't happy with barnett' s misuse of his email, barnett then proceeded to belittle him.
I first heard about barnett misusing people's email information on Monday but I didn't think he'd be so fuhkin stupid as to publicly try and belittle a guy who questioned barnett about it the other day.
FFS, considering the post I made above this one, it's unbelievable that banrett would oblige me by doing exactly what I said he would - what an absolute idiot !!!!

As I predicted, barnett would serve his own head up on a plate because he just cannot stop himself from being an arrogant bullying prick.
I wish he'd try and bully me but as we all know, he's a plastic bully and only tries to intimidate people who aren't used to such threats.
If he comes up against someone who can look after themselves, he squarks like a fukin chicken and won't do a damn thing.
He's a coward, nothing more than a gutless piece of sh!t.
I'll get the details of yet another example of barnett's madness tomorrow but in the meantime get ready for another dollop of scandal coming your way in a few days..... rough times ahead it seems for barnett.
We live in interesting times .......and as for barnett?
I'll paraphrase Vinnie Jones in Lock Stock .... 'it's gonna be emotional' ..... leastwise for barnett it is :)

PS It seems that Karma is alive and well and resident in the land of paintball and soon to be coming down barnett's chimney .... the timing is awesome !!
Not that I'd take the pis$ when that happens but ..... Ho ho ho !!!!!
