I think mine is one of the few that does work, and it was from the initial run. It's a fun little marker to shoot and I liked it better than my Phantom (which is why I ended up selling it).

This saga did cure me of trying to get in on the ground floor of small run markers.

Really like the splash details on some of these markers. How is it done? Is it painted?

Its splash anno, I believe you use some kind of PVA solution to mask some areas during the dying part of the anodizing process but @renie will know best.

Although the phantom above is an acid wash anno, not sure how that's done.
