but in my view perhaps a lower subscription may attract a wider audience
I beleive it was USD $14.95 for the WHOLE weekend (3 days) in HD rather than the grainy FREE webcast.
Thats only approx GBP £9.00 total.
Approx GBP £3.00 per day.
You can't even buy a pint of beer in a pub for £3.00 nowadays......
Personally, had I realised it was so cheap to begin with, I would have definately paid the money.
Didn't get to watch the finals on Sunday and kicked myself for it......
Will most definately be paying for the HD feed for the next event.
Once people get used to the fact they have to pay for it, then all will settle down.
You have to pay to watch football on the TV via Sky Sports, BT Sport, ESPN by way of monthly subscription. Then you have to have a TV, which then means you need a TV License. It all adds up....
The way they had priced it was bang on the money in my opinion. USD $10.00 per day, or have all 3 days for USD $15.00, a saving of USD $15.00 over paying for it daily, if you fancied watching it.
