Was having a look round at the luxes and realised I actually dont know anything about them.

What are they like as guns? Efficiency, stripping, maintenance etc?

Are they reliable?? My only experience has been with the Luxe 1s and they seemed to break alot.

Whats customer support like? Does it rival Planet??

Functionally they are similar to a shocker. I have moved from a Geo 2 to a Luxe this year and I think the build quality of the electronics on the Geo was better. The rest of the build quality is as good as any other spool I have shot.

In terms of reliability I think this comes down to maintenance more than anything else as well as knowing how to troubleshoot issues when they arise. That is the same with any marker though. Especially spools.

A few of my team have luxes and have used the Luxe tech at the CPPS this season. Great service all around and I really hope they continue it next year.

Are electronic problems the most common problem? What kind of issues do you get?

I have had no electronic problems at all. I simply think the board on the Geo felt more robust and of better quality.

The most common problems with the luxe are the same as with other spools, worn orings. Clean your gun regularly and you can minimise those issues. If worst comes to worst you could solve most problems by changing all the orings in the power core.

Oh ok cool, see what you mean.

So standard spool TLC and they'll see you right then.

I will also vouch for the luxe tech at CPPS. Spring on my bolt broke and he had it all sorted and serviced the entire power core in under 10 mins - great service. I also have a geo3 and there is maybe an extra 5 mins tops when servicing the luxe over the geo purely due to the higher number of orings. Nothing overly difficult on the luxe compared to other spools I have maintained (geos and DMs). The luxe is the least efficient of them but in my opinion has the smoother shot and for me the spacing between grip and regulator on the luxe suits me better than the others. All are equally accurate it's just the luxe suits me better, for you it may be different.

Ok cool. What kind of efficiency do you get out of the luxe then?

As said before, shoots like a smoother shocker.

Nice markers, not nicer than anything else to be honest. If the shape suits you great, I found them a little long but I only used it for one day and didn't have time to get used to it.

What I do like are Empire Minis and Axes!!!
