Enjoyed hearing some of the old UK team names from the past.
Some where I have a picture of the score board from the first Meyhem game in 89.
Has anyone one heard from Clive of the Silly Sausages.

Just read this fantastic thread... wow - some really great comments. It really was a fantastic time for such an underground sport with so much passion involved.

Pre internet - I have to reflect and say 'thanks and well done' to everyone involved in the magazines - publishing companies and contributors including Pete. Before the internet... I was a paintball addict and knew religiously the dates that the magazines were meant to hit WH Smiths... and word often went around the shops and sites that a new edition was released... It was an amazing time for the sport - kit - design and technology... rules.. so much....

At 14 years old I was working at Flying Colours in East Horsley for Ivan of the Turks - and then moved to work for Big Dave Bevis at Belsales Paintball... then started playing for Fly Fishing by JR Hartley.... with Keith & Steve Belsey (amazing players) Mark & Dave Bevis - Tax - Coogee - Martin - Garry - Paul....

A good team... great times... if anyone knows how I can contact any of these guys - please send me a message... most appreciated.

All the best, Joe Buckle (AKA back in the day "Skippy")

I remember the best times of paintball between 89-92, I remember the straw dogs and the deaths head teams in Dorset.

I Used to shoot with Andy Shearing? I recently heard he went on to play tournaments on both sides of the Atlantic, anyone know who I am talking about?
Yep, that was me!!!

Lets go back in time and think who the good teams were, barts stud squad, bad company, preds, short timers, nwc wasn't really there, 10 teams in the first mayhem, can't even remember their names, it would be nice to be able to know what were those 10 teams, pretty sure the short timers didn't even enter, they should have, but hell, at that time barts was winning everything.
Just looking thru posts of teams when i played and you are a twat pal ! Wont say any more as its pointless unlees face to face

An Interesting post - care to spill for our entertainment :)
Not really, i played with Pete and the original Nam from almost the begining, Nam finished for a while so joined the Preds and then the Turks.
The guys post is crap , i was at those games.
To me the woods was paintball, great times. Original Nam were great times and so was the Turks, Preds were great too but not really me.
Pete i owe you a big apology !
