Im just selling some old kayaking gear and my Rc car on ebay to fund purchasing kit - A budget of around £300(When the items sell) - What would you advise purchasing first and why
Based on typical prices and priority1) Mask 25£ tops buys decent 2nd hand Marker /tank/hopper 250. Now Im sure folk will tell you you can cut this but this is all you need to spend from your first 300..You could buy a Tippmann package for 170approx my friend did but it was pants as you,d expect for that So 3ksteel tank for 30£,electronic hopper 40£ .This wont buy you a rotor although one was knocking round CPPS for that Halo,s and other older ones will sell for this 3) Marker with only 180 left ,3 guns that will sell for this and are starting point of top end markers (obviously older but contain the tech you should nt go below and good reliability)are Invert mini,Empire Axe and Planet Eclipse Etek.to save a huge debate ,ALL 3 are good markers . Sold my sons first Etek3 for 200,they are so reliable ,low maintenance and near unbreakable they,re my favourite but others are time proven performers. What about all the other stuff ?I hear you ask.Simple wait for it ,buy the above go to walk ons and play in old clothes n boots/trainers.Spreading your budget leaves you with a crap gun,and that will always dampen your fun .

How you getting on with buying your gear? Have you managed to pick anything up yet?
Have you sold your other stuff and got a better idea on spending power yet?
Do you know what basis of marker you want? Tournie or Milsim?
There is a ton more advice you could be given but a lot of it depends what style of play takes your fancy the most.
You could be sneaky sneaky and let out a few shots or be a paint slinger, even that will make a difference to the marker you end up buying.
remember though that before rushing out and buying a marker because it looks good, attend a couple of walk ons, speak to they guys on site and even see if you can have a shot of a marker while on the chrono. Most players are happy to let newbs try them out.

Hi all....

Im looking at getting into the awesome sport but want some pointers on kit. Any tips and advice welcome. What do you all recommend? I would also like to join a team around the Cheshire/Staffordshire area so if you know of any around the area post the websites below. Massive thanks in advance guys and girls!!
For a first set up I would reccomend:

Marker - GoG enmey - a good solid mechanical gun (no batteries) with plenty of good features
Mask - JT Proflex - a good mask with a dual pane thermal lens to avoid fogging
Loader - 1) Proto Primo - the best of the gravity loaders
- 2) Halo too - a good force feed (battery powered) loader that will easily keep up with the enmey
Tank - for a first set up with your budet i'd reccomend a 48/3000 tank. If you can find a Ninja tank they have fantastic customer service and good products.

My suggestion is Obviously a nice set of comfy thermal lens mask, then get a hopper, hoppers range from £30-£200 and they can go on almost any gun. so you turn up at a rental site and use one of there guns with your own hopper you instantly get a better gun because the hopper will feed balls as fast as you fire them and wont chop paint! once that is sorted you then look at getting a gun, this all depends on what you want to do. My suggestion is either get a nice woods ball gun (e.g. i have an A5 and had no problems with it at all! plus is comes with a cyclone feed system so no need to get a hopper before hand) or you get can get a low-mid range tourney gun. i would suggest Empire invert mini or an AXE.
Bear in mind tourney markers are not meant to be used with C02, so if your local site has C02 you cant use it there unless you purchase your own air bottle.
