Side note, I never understood why some sites don't count headshots. People get hit in the head regardless of if you allow it or not. Ultimately if a punter gets hit in the goggles he's not gonna be able to see jack so getting out of play is probably for the best as the chance of lifting goes up. Likewise if they catch one in the back of the noggin', most people aren't very interested in continuing to play so why encourage it?
It's so that you don't just aim for the heads I believe only on punter days so that you don't scare them off hitting them in head might make them not want to come back. So they make head shots not count in a hope that you won't headshot
No, it's so they stay in the game longer and shoot more paint and spend more money ;) If headshots count, punters spend a lot more time totally hidden behind cover and games see lots less paint used up - if gun and head shots are counted, people tend to shoot more, and keep their guns / heads out of cover more.
Head and gun shots don't count for a variety of reasons
Back in the day headshots were to be avoided as people wore a variety of goggles which only covered your eyes.

Site insurance is based on the risk assessments of the site. This may equate headshots not counting and being discouraged to reduce the amount of balls going at heads. This can therefore be a safety matter and a saving in premiums

Even though people do shoot at heads because they are poking out, a non headshot policy could make a difference in the time between a player lifting goggles and the marshal screaming/jumping on them.

It also adds the element that you can put your head and gun out without fear of elimination and this enables aimed shots and looking at your target instead of blind firing.

In every element of punter paintball the policy of sites is to have players in game as much as possible firing as much paint as possible.

"Why don't you just buy a real gun?"
"Didn't you have an action man when you were a child?"
"Can't see how getting shot is fun?", I generally reply with I don't play to get shot.

Love them all....

right lets get this right ,sites that don`t count headshots it`s a way of making money.headshot don`t count you keep shooting nothing more nothing less.
as for the guy that runs the UKPSF his sites count headshots, that way you keep your head down and don`t get shot there ,that and if you do it`s easy too walk off field
