Generic responses when you tell someone you play paintba..

I have more trouble explaining why I spend so much money on it all more than everything else! Not reached the point where I get fed up of the questions yet, but a lot of my spare time at Uni is currently occupied with making sure IPG/Delta Force stay off our bloody campus. When people ask me why I keep getting rid of them, I go into a speil about tourney and woodsballs - overall, it's a good response, typically ending with "sounds like fun, I might give it a go"

Have had some other interesting questions though:
Why don't your guns look real?
It looks painful, there can't be any fun in that, can there?

And my personal favorite:

Can you play without the mask like on TV?

Side note, I never understood why some sites don't count headshots. People get hit in the head regardless of if you allow it or not. Ultimately if a punter gets hit in the goggles he's not gonna be able to see jack so getting out of play is probably for the best as the chance of lifting goes up. Likewise if they catch one in the back of the noggin', most people aren't very interested in continuing to play so why encourage it?

It has not too much to do with stopping people shooting at the head (lets face it - we all still do it if just to put them in cover while they wipe it off) .
It means that punters stay in the game longer and shoot more paint...

Other than the obvious "doesn't it hurt?" and "That must be really expensive!" my favorite one when i'm playing is "why aren't you wearing your overalls!?!"

Although not frozen, I have been on the receiving end of a pod of paint that had spent most of the day in a cool box. Not much different from playing on a cold day, so there may be some small truth that has benefited from generous application of BS
