this exactlly why i dont normally post.

no matter what the rules, they move the goal posts for there own benefit, if your face doesnt fit on this forum, u will never get anywhere.

your posting average is only 1.6 posts per day, why does that make you so special?

i think the members who have been contributing have all valid points, when new rules are applied ALL members whether new, old, post every day or once a year should have the chance to voice there opinions, without being punished.
Wow..you really have not a clue what the owner/MODS and Admin do for the membership do you? Numerous times they have gone and helped members who were ripped off...has ebay done that for anybody lately?
Unpaid I might add. The point you are missing is that this is a community, not just a commercial enterprise. The classifieds are a bonus gift, NOT A RIGHT. Frankly, with all the hassle I am surprised they still do it, but they do.
Why complicate it further because you do not want to join in the community? Just go and put your wares on ebay or gumtree and everybody will be happy.

Incredible to see so much moaning by those who only frequent the classifieds, of which is a FREE ! Yes FREE given service by P8ntballer.
All this due to new rules put in place. Rules are rules, like it or not, they are there written in plain english !
How is someone being punnished for something that is FREE

As i see it, some members are moaning because they do not have access to this FREE service P8ntballer has to offer ? 20 constructive posts is not a lot, considering many forums ask for 100 posts. ( i should have agreed with Dusty for the 50 post count)

Please explain how do we the Mods benefit from this ?

if your face doesnt fit on this forum, u will never get anywhere.
Where exactly do you want to get to ?

Yes you may be British, i am British, and we are all here on Europes largest paintball forum, used by many British, but there are many members worldwide whom also frequent here too.
As a new member, whether you are new to paintball or someone whom has been playing for a while but have only just joined, why not introduce yourself in the newbie section, have a good read (specially the forum rules) and ask a few questions. It would make more sense to involve yourself with the community with a good attitude rather than join as a member just to moan about some post count.

I'm so glad you took the time to look into my average post rate. I was asked to be a MOD as I contributed to the forum, simple as that.

You're saying you want to basically register here, mouth off a bit, flog your bits and pieces then leave. Why not use another forum if you don't agree with the rules here?? Because we offer the largest target audience. For free. Please, go use another forum where you can be their headache for a while

WildWayz CraigofScotland either of you guys want him??

And yes we move the goal posts, the rules are ever evolving for the benefit of the vast majority of users here, buyers and sellers. Sellers have been duped before, they will be again I'm sure and I know if you were duped who would be your first port of call? the Mods here, where you'd be moaning about the rules.

Blimey, if people put half as much effort into contributing worthwhile posts to the rest of the forum as they do to complaining, they'd have hit the 20 post threshold long ago.

Now this, I don't get at all - you couldn't wish for a more inclusive, less bigoted, friendlier forum. None of the changes have been for the mods benefit, they've been for OUR benefit, in trying to keep chancers, trolls and scammers to a minimum, so that we don't get ripped off. The mods don't get paid for the effort they put into maintaining the forum. I haunt most popular paintball forums and there are none in the UK with the footfall of p8ntballer, so of necessity it needs rules in place that smaller, lower volume forums might not require.

I totally agree with you - everyone should have an opportunity to voice their opinions - and you have. However if you then refuse to accept the answers you're given or that your suggestions won't be implemented and keep banging on about it, it's perfectly natural for the mods to get a teensie bit fed up. Best to wind your neck in and get on with it than whinge and get your arse banned.

you may not see an issue about it, but for someone who knows nothing about it you dont exactly get a warm welcome here! So i dont exactly feel encouraged to post a great deal! and how exactly can i constructively post.... when i have nothing constructive to say? 'Me i shot some paintballs out of a gun i have no idea how it works and i loved it!' so have joined a team to learn through and was recommended to get some second hand gear off of 1 of the online forums!

At what point were you not made welcome? the point where you realised there are a few simple rules to follow??

So what if you're new? Write an introduction, pop up a review of the gear you used, tell us your plans for the future, ask questions, make suggestions.

I'm registered on a watch forum, the post count required there is 250. I don't think that's practical for any forum, but I do understand why they did it given the POTENTIAL for scammers.

At the point where i joined on friday with a 10 post limit... then just before the mark its put up to 20! I know its coincidental and was not aimed at me but it was a kick in the teeth, and i thought forums were to allow people to air there opinions, so because I'm new to this forum im not allowed an opinion on how its run??? I mean your acting as if ive committed some horrible crime just because ive aired that im unhappy about being forced to talk about things ive no idea about! when infact all that was needed was a little understanding as to my point of view, but instead we get attacked by members not in our situation!

Id prefer not being able to see the classifieds untill i reach the message count... as I wouldnt have known all the stuff i missed out on because of the message count going up just before i was able to use them!
