doesnt need it, im right on the back wheel of 1000cc bikes up till 140mph then they start to pull away but i catch them on the corners

with the arrow exhaust it sounds amazing, and the quickshifter is just an awesome piece of kit :)

The trouble is :- the Engines have evolved and are way faster now with some bikes now doing 200 + mph, Corrr when I look back to my Bantam , Sunbeam, Gold Flash,Cotton twin ( this was a great bike that not a lot of people knew about ) ,Trophy,Panther,Ariel, and a whole host of others Not realizing any of them would become valuable one day, I choke at the thought.
I know what you mean,in the early 90's during my scootering days i had an 1968 Italian Lambretta SX200 and sold it for £300 a year later, nowadays your looking at around £5000 for a fully original and restored one

YOU !! had a scooter in the 60`s ?? where were you, I was around the Meadway Towns area going down to Margate and Southend , Brighton going on to Pompey and of course London. All of which I have many tales I could tell, Like a crowd of us on scooters going through Bromley then coming to a stop for a rest at the side of the road outside a club/pub of sorts, Think it was called Mr Smiths Club. all of us in a line suited and booted for a good night out, when all of a sudden a bloke comes flying down on the Pavement after been thrown out of the window 2 x floors up, We didn`t hang around to find out anything about that guy, could have been dead for all I Know. . . All we heard was the Krays are there !! The KRAY Brothers just threw him out. Reputation about them at the time was through the roof, and we were a bunch of young chicken ****s... WE Were Gone !!

So you caught the second wave, regenerated Mods scene from 1978 onwards to 1984, That was good too, I called a rally at Brighton for all Scooters to Mass at the TOP Rank Brighton one day, I think it was around 3,000 answered the call to go, then I got the Police come round my house about 5 x days before it all came together . . TO STOP IT. as the Top Rank could only hold around 2,000 people and the Police didn`t want around 1,000 Scooters floating all over Brighton doing Wheelies and speed burps. so I had to cancel the whole venue, I just laughed at the time as I organized the week before for 7,000 to meet up in London, I don`t care what people think but that took it out of me to do that, It was great as we were going up from Brighton up the A23 ( can`t remember if it was a Motorway or not then ) with a huge amount of scooters Peeling onto ours from every exit, by the time we got to Croydon there were so many I thought the Police was going to intervene .. Good times.

Never really had any interest in the mod scene, was a bit too elitist fo my liking,i was a scooterboy but most of my mates started out as mods and progressed to the scooterboy scene when the whole mod scene died out in the late 80's.

Funnily enough we never really had any trouble from bikers other than an odd snarl or evil look every now and again from the hardcore greasers, the old bill were the worst culprits for hassle especially on rallies they just loved stopping and searching us for illegal stuff they had a habbit of thinking we were the same as the rave scene for some wierd reason.

Ha Ha Ha, had plenty of battles with bikers throughout and I mean Battles, absolutely loved it, don`t get me wrong I got a going over a few times and a few smashed scooters but overall Gosh !! didn`t they pay for it. 10 x fold, there used to be a whole load of bikers at the roundabout just as you go into Southend .. With Bike Chains and locking chains and as you went around the roundabout you got a hefty Whack across your back sometimes your head, when we all got through and met up and some of them were NOT clean from a hefty bruising, we went back but this time prepared and if we didn`t get all of them , We just took it out on their bikes until what we thought at the time were unusable. .. It was a Violent Time and was expected by both sides at any Time throughout the UK. I used to have a steal bar held in clips in front of my front leg shield, this I used to throw at the bikers front wheel hoping it gets between the spokes and it did on several occasions, you should see those bikes flip. better them than I, as they used to try to kick you off whilst driving,

...... that's pretty insane....

I've had off road bikes for the last 17 years. My last road bike was a Ducati 900SS. Now i've got a KTM 450 Exc for off road and a Triumph Speed Triple 950cc for road use.

Maybe we should see if we can get any paintballers with bikes together in the summer for a ride out.

Brass knuckles and pepper spray optional....

The Best roads or route`s are NEVER motorways,They are simply to get from A - B in a convenient way and Not always the quickest
