How about Al & Chris ref the first leg of the CPPS 2013 season in April?

I've volunteered to ref it if I'm needed, otherwise I'll be playing. On.
Nope. Sorry. Got the most respect for em and love the banter but I would be a shocking ref. Not enough attention span, would be too busy watching the game and wanting to coach the players.

it's all good and well saying adrenaline takes hold but 'taking two' and continuing to run is still playing on regardless of what the excuse is. it definitely isn't the job of the ref to jump in and stop you running up the field but if it happens then you will be getting at least a 1for1. And to be honest i don't get how you can say that its the adrenaline but you openly say that this is your style of play and that you will continue running up the field regardless. Why not just play within the rules and use the adrenaline to make some killer moves instead :)

Dude did you read my post? Did I not say I nailed both guys early before even being shot? In fact me walking after the run through was because I'd done my job, I could have very easily argued with the refs and fought to carry on an do someone else, but id read the game, didn't want to risk getting a 1 for 1 for arguing and walked.

I do not openly cheat. My style of play is read the game, pull off a break move which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I aim to take two if there are two in front but I sure as hell won't keep on running if I get lit up before even doing anyone.

There is a BIG difference being making aggressive PLANNED moves and just running up the field like a headless chicken wiping away as you go. When there's two refs watching the run you're doing that is a planned advantage, you know it will kick off because run throughs always do so doing one in front of two refs was no accident. You rely on them to see what you've done an make the calls. Simple.

Where you on the team by any chance?

Haha okay well apologies but I read 'taking two' as you would take at least two hits on your run. And no sorry to disappoint I wasn't on this team :)

carnt beat the refs that just pull the one 4 one to a player spitting his dummy out. Needs doing more often. Players wont do it any more if refs are extremely strict towards gobber off'ers.

Well this year i've only reffed conference when i've not been playing at cpps and if anybody ever has a go when you tell them to just get off the field they usually oblige which tells me they don't actually realise that you aren't allowed to argue with refs during games. so for that reason i wouldn't be inclined to be as strict in this division but for everybody else this should really be a blanket rule. more ballin' less dummy throwin :D

No worries man didn't mean to bite ;)

Agreed on dummy spitters, if you cheat or take a beating badly or are just a sore ass loser then you should maybe go fishing. Banter is good, I love it and goi to have a chat is much more productive than bawling like a bitch in front of everyone.

Although its very entertaining.

I admit , i cheat . But when i get caught i dont throw a strop and spit dummy out. I take it.

Seen players argue the toss when hits, have been "bunker rub" and just cause problems.
You get caught take it on the chin in my opinion.

I one4oned my own brother, deal with it lol. I saw him take a shot on his hopper and watched him stay posted and ask the ref on the opposite side of the shot for a check, to be fair the ref didnt check him properly and called him clean from the side line, he played on so I ran over and made the call. He was pissed, but your hopper is a self check area after all. It still puts a big smile on my face when I think about it.

If I get shot and pulled then ok, if I'm bending the rules and pulled its a fair cop, if I'm being pulled for something I know is wrong, the ref's going to know about it!
