Other than practice, there is not much else to do. BUT I will say that I would be working on accuracy first, speed second. No point being able to shoot 15bps when nothing is hitting. We used to train for the first shot accuracy all the time. Set up a target, put gun by your side, or behind you like at a start gate, and when ready, bring it up and take one shot as quick as possible. Hit or miss, it doesnt matter, just keep trying it. But just take one shot at a time.
So many times in game, you only have one shots worth of time to shoot before you must duck back in. The mistake many kids make, is to stay out for a few shots. Thats when you get shot out of your bunker.....the worst way to die, and no use to the team at all.
move the target around aswell, different heights and distances. When you get to the point where your first ball is hitting every target, you will win games.
they reckon to get something to be second nature, you need to repeat it 10,000 times. So get started! The Pros are the Pros because they are at the training field the longest, they put the effort it, and that 10k comes around quicker than you think. After all, its only 5 boxes right?
