AJ, there are a few of us ex army lads on this board. Hand666 uses a Tippmann A5. I use a Tippmann X7 and a 98custom. As well as some others 'cause I'm ruddy greedy... :D

As foot said, it's best to try out some other people's markers before splashing your cash out. Not got a prob with you trying my weap's out bud.

Where in Northants are you anyway??
I do look like the look of the sierra but i think i am goin to look at the A5 and others, nothing wrong with being greedy lol

In Rushden mate, where abouts are you?

Hi Alexis, good to have another team member :) That makes 12 of us now :O

I echo the others though. I would really reccomend getting a second hand tourney marker. I was the same as you to begin with, wanting something that looked a bit more military and something that you can tinker with and upgrade.

I soon found that I just couldn't keep up on the field with it, and that you have to do enough tinkering to get sick of tinkering with an electro anyway! Haha.

I would suggest coming to the next walk on. You can use my A5 on the day, then I am sure someone will have a spare tourney marker you can use for a game. You will see the difference and can make up your mind without any regrets.

McLovin has a play mate..... :D

I'm in Kettering as are a few more of us on here.

As for your marker of choice, I would hazzard a guess that you will end up going down the MilSpec road same as me.

Just to balance the argument here GF, I ended up dropping down to my 98 Custom and pistol last weekends walk on due to low air, and kept up the firefight.

Alexis I'm not saying that 1 way is better than the other, just different strokes for different folks.

If only there was a mod or 2 on here who worked at local site who could sort it for some of us to meet you with our markers for you to fire on there range. Cough Cough

Hello mods testing 1,2.....

;):)

Yeah I second that. If there's a site owner or paintball enthusiast who wants to help an upcoming team of 12 so far to train in afterhours here and there by letting us range test and shoot a few bottles - target practice, I am sure we would give a couple of quid, not only that we'd be loyal for life :D
