I'n not able to make big game but I do have a 68 classic I'm looking into at the moment. It seems to be around a lvl 7 classic from what I've learned so far. But it deffo needs some tlc, it was found in a skip by a work colleague and he asked me to see if I could get it going. It's leaking from the quick connect female fitting which needs replacing. Anyone know if a supplier or source ?

Sorry to thread jack, but it's almost on topic ;)

Might be running my non Cnc Xmag as a mech at big game but still need a battery for it to run in emag mode. Tbh I might turn to the dark side and use cockers at this one! If eelz isnt running my ex Xmag he needs a slap!

I did think that was possible, I'll try to source a replacement for the foster coupler first. If that fails I'll get a small macro kit.

Thanks for that, I will pm renie as well in case Random :)

I can't think what the female bit looks like, would it be like the bit that goes on a bottle fill nipple? If so I may have one in the workshop.
Back onto the subject of mags at the big game any others going?

I've ordered a fitting from fleabay as well as some PTFE. It's on a slow boat I guess so it'll have to go on the back burner for now...

I was hopeful the chap would just say I could keep it, but I don't think I'm that lucky :(

Any ideas what it'd be worth buying for if it can be brought back to life and what I should be asking for fixing it ?

I would have said a functioning classic automag should cover my time and effort :)

If I do get my mitts on it, I'll be looking for project inspiration with at very least, a new grip frame and reg instead of the co2 expansion bottle it has at the moment...

The thing with mags is that once you start modding them you can't stop, just so you know if it is a bog standard classic mag it would be worth £50-£75 in my opinion, also you don't need a reg on the front as the back part of the mag valve is the reg, hence just running a macroline from asa to valve would work
