I honestly don't know how they work, it's like magic having everything in that back part of the marker...

I'm getting more familiar with it the more I tinker, so I may well get the bits swapped around and take the expansion cylinder off altogether then.

I personally would do just that. Also put a few drops of oil into the asa as mags love oil! Get some pics up so we can help you id it a better also pics of the bolt would help
