Hi Guys

Im new and have just bought a air bottle that needs filling. I called my local paintball centre and they dont do it (no idea why) seems odd.

I went to the scuba place and they said they will do it but they dont have an adapter/station. They have a bottle with a large thread at the top (looks like you screw something into it)

So what adapter do i need? Also where can i get one cheap or if anyone has one i would like to buy one.

Thanks

Two types of fitting for scuba bottles, it sounds like the one you're describing is a DIN fitting, the other being an A clamp.

If filling from scuba bottles, release the air slowly and steadily, it's unregulated and flash filling can make the burst discs go pop and strain the bottle.

Make sure you are filling the correct bottle to the correct pressure, eg 3000psibottle, use a 3k (232bar) fill scuba bottle.
Obviously never use a 4.5k/300bar pressure tank to fill a 3k air bottle!

You really need to get further a field and mix with more expereinced players, asking help on here is fine but when 'messing with air,' I would never risk it!

All fill nipples are the standard and will connect to any fill whips, adaptors designed to fill paintball air bottles, as are burst discs.

For a 3k tank you should have a 1.8k and 5 k disc, it can be common for the 1.8k to burst if flash filled, this of course is for your safety to release pressure.
On a 4.5k tank you find a 1.8k and 7.5k disc.

On both the lower pressured disc is on the regulated side, might be worthwhile getting a spare in case it pops when filling, especially from scuba if not taken slow and steady

if you want to fill your 1.1L (or similar) air bottle at a dive centre then you'll need the adaptor i've shown.

The adaptor you've linked is a fill rig for filling a 1.1L air bottle from a scuba tank.

what Tom has given you is the adapter for filling directly from the compressor, double check with your shop if they are going to fill this way or use a scuba tank first.

yes the one you've linked will fill your bottle, but you should be able to find them much cheaper than that one.
