know it has been suggested that the yobs or anybody that is 18 and not got a job
should do national service do you think this is a good idea.

i believe this would be a good idea as people would learn right from wrong and a good worthwhile trade

i know alot of people will moan about it ,but the amount of trades that you can learn in the forces is unbelievable

nursing
cooking

I'm 32 and by jingo if I thought I'd be of any use other than target practice, I'd sign up for national service tomorrow.

They won't do it though, nanny state and all that malarky. These "kids" have little or no respect for authority and don't seem to grasp the concept of earning it for themselves either. :rant:

It simply isn't the old days anymore and more's the pity...

we need to bin of the European convention of human rights firstly. you will not believe how much that really comes into effect in terms of criminality.

we are all earthlings and, animal or not, we all have the right to life so why do we need the rights to allow pussy footing around. send them into the army, beast them, beat them shag em in the arse. what ever teaches discipline is what is needed.

Don't hold your breath about the government introducing national service anytime soon,it's way too costly in the current economical climate and nobody in the government or even the next government for that matter would ever have the backbone to introduce it.
