Alright Jay, like most have said already mate you would be better off getting a used Etek or a Mini on hear, you could get a Mini or Etek 1 /2 for between about £140 to £180 then you could take a look at maybe a prophecy or rotor loader, all of these are great kit with good after sales serice and parts.
As for a tank i would go for a steel air bottle if funds are low but if you can stretch to a bit more try get a decent fibre wraped tank with a few years left on it off hear
Hope this helps mate:)

As Henry said defo go with an air system and not c02

Thanks a lot, i know that c02 destroys the seams etc. Dad owns an industrial sized compressor, so it's good on that front :). Do you normally have to refill at tournaments, and does it cost a lot?

Basically any tourny or walkon you go to in the Uk Should offer HPA refills, normally in the case of walkons covered in the green fee (normally £10-£20 varies site by site) as for tournies im assuming all of them you will be able to fill to at least 3000psi if not 4.5k oh and if you can afford it mate, get a fibre wrapped tank, as maca said if you can afford it, generally because there lighter and you should be able to get more shots from them.

Anyway etek or mini :p either one about £150 on here :D having owned both, I can say there both great markers ;)

If you wanna watch a few games and see more what tournies are like try to get yourself down to one of the Formula 5 events in colchester. Visit the site for dates but i think the next one is on 26th june
Our team will always be over there as well as about another 9 teams usually.
It's a great day and if you get chatting to a few people you might be able to jump in on one of their training days or if your lucky and teams are a few bodies short you may evan get a game

Formula 5 all the way :D

contrary to what holme118 said, the SLG (just like any other marker) works as well as you treat it.

I've got a SLG UL and it's been an absolute workhorse; never has it once failed me.

I dont know why SLGs have such a bad rep on these forums

Dont bother with any SLG apart from the 2009 SLG UL.

I think there referring to the normal SLG, owning one I can say they aren't the most reliable of markers, even if you clean it after every game, it's also quite loud and i don't like the trigger, and the lack of an on/off asa is annoying but oh well, however i actually for some reason can't say i don't like  i just think for the price there an excellent first marker, i mean if and when it does leak, you can just the follow the manual (which is really good) and have a quick fix

Just speaking from personal experience mate

Truely, it depends on the individual marker. Mine was gone by my second round with it. SLGs are brilliant for the price, just so long as your willing to risk having to spend time fixing it repeatedly.

(For the record, I've kept immaculate care of it :D)
