When you book every Friday afternoon off before training & tourneys to go get the paint, then go to book a holiday & find you have no holiday allowance left & realise it doesn't matter...
When you can't sleep the night before a tourney because you can't get hold of one of your team
When you wake up at 5am and are 100% alert & not tired you know it's a ball day
When you are charged with arranging a Stag do for your brother & his mates & Rec ball doesn't even enter your head!
When the phone rings & it's another baller the convo is always in excess of 30 minutes...

When your wife [or partner] screams, 'you either give that stupid game up or I'm leaving' ..... if they haven't done that then you ain't no baller .. well, either that or you butt-ass ugly and ain't got no partner 
I heard it many times which probably explains why I ended up getting divorced from my first wife .... for the first ten years of playing, it was more like a drug for me .... I just couldn't get enough of playing, it was insane, I was hooked .. seemingly for life ....
