Hi all,

I live in Dunstable, and was thinking of starting up again I used to play for a team in South Africa about 15yrs ago back in the days of pumps and the good old VM-68's we mainly played woods ball... The only thing I need to know is how much the average monthy spend would be one paint and fees I was to take the sport up again...any thoughts would be appreciated...

I cant speak for all teams but assuming you trained 1 time and played 1 tournament each month you are looking around £100-£130 depending on your team

Thats on playing,

Fuel, food, batteries, 2 x burger kings on way home, maybe add another £50ish? :p

Only 2 Burger Kings... :p

We played DIV2 Last year it was a race to 2 format and on average cost my guys £90 - £100 a round, that didn't include travel/food etc..

Training if worked out about £55 a player and also didn't include travel/food etc..

So as bolter as quite correctly pointed add 50ish to the first post..

I am also talking in terms of semi supported teams, that have maybe either support packages from Planet or Dye/Proto and maybe the added bonus of LiPs/BZ/Manic/Jcs/Warped etc..

Hope that helps ..

Carl

Travel... What is this of which you speak?

I forgot about that as our team pretty much lives on the doorstep of th current Formula 5 venue!

I looked your adress up, you are only 17 miles from bricket wood, so travel won't sting you to play/train there :)

Thank you for all the info, it looks like it's going to be quite expensive at first, unless I am good enough to make it into a sponsored team... will try and get to Bricketwood this month to have a look round...
