I don't believe in God, but I think that anyone is entitled to have faith in a "higher being" of any religion, I think that faith is pretty personal, and those who want to believe can do so, but I personally am somewhat agnostic in the fact that I don't believe in god, but shown evidence I would be open to change my mind.

i believe in God, but i don’t fully agree with the Bible, i just think that maybe there is something out there, mainly because i would rather think that we were here for a reason rather than being some accident a "freak of nature" which has evolved from ape,

Ive always said this throughout my life, anyone can believe what they want whether, christian, muslim, hindu etc or athiest but you should never deter people from what they believe, that’s the important part.
I see your point, but for me I find the concept that we are only here because so many different elements fell into place in just the right place at just the right time fascinating. I love the fact that if the Earth would of had a slightly tighter or wider orbit then it would be uninhabitable, and how we live in such a serene looking, but horrifically dangerous universe.

I like that, in the scheme of things... we're not important, special or superior - we're in fact just a tiny part of a massively complex matrix of elements and laws.

Insignificance FTW!!

I see this forum doesn't subscribe to the "never discuss religion and politics" unwritten rule of the internet forum. ;)

Which is just ANOTHER reason this is the best forum on the internet :)

Now you just have to go platinum, you seem like an intelligent and courteous sort so far so you'll fit right in ;)

There is a great quote from "The big bang theory"

"I am not offended by the idea of a deity but I am baffled at one that needs to take attendance"

Apologises if the line is not exactly correct, writing it from memory.

When i posted this up, i also clicked NO as i dont believe.

The truth is i did used to believe, and i didnt click the 3rd option because im so agianst it now. My parents did believe, but didnt christen us, to let us make our own decsions, even though they were big on the god thing, and so were my grandparents. They now dont think anyting exists because of things that have happnend in our lives - too much stuff to mention but the result is us sitting there and saying, if there were a god, ive done nothing worng, but you have let that happen to us, why? - i found myself questioning why a lot, so the cross i wore was binned.

I do believe there maybe a place your soul goes to, but it sure as hell doesent chat with other souls, and there definitly isnt a guy on the gates as you enter ticking your name off and welcoming you.

The Bible in my opinion was a book designed to take away the 'choices' we have, so people followed one thing and obided by it, it was a method of control. - other religions saw this method of control and saw for a while early on it was working, so adapted it into their own version, picking up different faiths as the years went by - and now look at the issues we have in the world because of religion.

We evolved from apes, there is no Adam and Eve, and if there was, then every person on this earth is related, and the fact adam and eve had two boys, they would have had to Bone their mum, and then their kids etc etc, and science has prooved that doesent work as it causes mutations which is just plain wrong, and im sure any so called God would never of allowed that and we would all be a bunch of circus freaks.

This is only my opionion, and the path i have chosen to walk, i know many people that do believe may smite me for what i have said, im not religion bashing, but science prooves so much, and the better we get at it, the more the stories from the past look to evaporate.

I like to think that there's something but I don't believe in religion. I mean, all the major religions are effectively worshipping the same god though a prophet or son but they just will not stop [female dog]ing over that there propht/son is god's favorite.

Although I believe in a god but not religion people have told me that doesn't count so I guess its a no from me too.

I completely agree.

The God I believe in doesn't need cash donations to ministers, doesn't tell me to blow myself up & others...he asks me to be myself and treat others with respect....plus he must exist and like us as he gave us paintball! :first:
