Only a few reasons why one would venture up there I'm afraid, one is to indulge yerself in dogging though I fear you were referring to times when you were young and so we can pretty much rule that one out [not completely I know but more than likely] and the other is to indulge yerself in the covert science of bum-banditry ... otherwise known as, being a shirt-lifter ... Hmmmm.....
no no no!! cheaper digs when we were contracting (honest guvna), was right next door to the dreymans, the noise used to drag us in for a beer or three

I've had a few tear-ups in that pub over the years; and I only live about half a mle away which isn't far enough I can tell ya ... it got closed down recently for the alleged overt use of drugs ... basically, guys doing lines on camera ..... nice
